Motion carried. <br /> <br />A letter from Dean Johnson - <br />Mr. March briefed the council on the letter from Dean Johnson. Mr. March gathered Dean would <br />be happy with the $2800 figure. Mayor Wilharber asked if there would be any problems with the <br />$2800 amount, taking into consideration the additional meetings he attended. Mr. March replied <br />he did not foresee a problem. Councilmember Buckbee suggested looking to Resource Strategies <br />for the City's Zoning update requirements. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve the <br />$2800 amount. Motion carried. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Rice Creek Trail Association (RCT A) - <br />Mr. Doug Koppy, 6689 East Shadow Drive, Lino Lakes, Representative of the RCTA was <br />present to request city approval to conduct meat raflles at Kelly's Korner Bar. Mr. Koppy <br />explained the state is requiring city approval prior to RC Trail Association receiving state <br />approval. Currently they are training a gambling manager and will be bonded and insured. <br />Councilmember Buckbee understood a resolution will need to be issued to the state stating the <br />city accepting the gambling request. Mr. March briefed the Council on ordinance #51 - Gambling <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Rocky Larson, RCT A Trail Manager explained the trails need to be groomed and trimmed. The <br />Trail Association needs to purchase a trail groomer which is very expensive to buy and maintain <br />the equipment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Helmbrecht explained the Trail Association has put up signs and fences where <br />there seems to be problems. Mr. Bisek 7098 Centerville Road, explained the M.S. Society will <br />continue to sell pull tabs at Kelly's Korner. Mr. Koppy explained the Association plans to hold a <br />meat raflle one day a week at Kelly's Bar. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber asked "Has the Rice Creek Trail Association been approached from the CirlLex <br />Police Department?" Mr. Koppy replied no. Mayor Wilharber explained the Police Department <br />is looking to purchase a snowmobile from Polaris. If the snowmobile is purchased before May 5, <br />the Department will receive a discount. Further the Police Department planned to approach Trail <br />Associations for donations. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht, seconded by Councilmember Brenner to approve Rice <br />Creek Trail Association lawful gambling license to conduct meat raflles at the location of Kelly's <br />Korner Bar, 7098 Centerville Road, Anoka County, Centerville, Minnesota.
