<br />~ <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve Resolution 97-18. Motion seconded by <br />Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk-Administrator Annual Review <br />MOTION by Councilmember Buckbee to authorize the indicated pay increase for the Clerk - <br />Administrator salary, retroactive to May 20, 1997. Motion seconded by Councilmember <br />Brenner. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ms. Amy Mample addressed the Council and questioned the construction of a proposed foot <br />bridge in Clearwater Meadows development. The Mample family plan to build a home at 7043 <br />Brian Court and requested the construction of the foot bridge be completed prior to beginning <br />their home construction. Ms. Mample said Mr. Rockne Goertz earlier stated the City received <br />funds to construct a foot bridge over County Road Ditch 47 and that the construction of the <br />bridge rests with the City. The Council requested Staff investigate the claims. <br /> <br />Anoka County Resolution 97-121 relating to the issuance of a permit for archery deer <br />hunting in designated areas of the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mayor Wilharber to approve Anoka County resolution 97-121. Motion seconded <br />by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Economic Development Committee - <br />Councilmember Brenner reported EDC plans to request $20,000 allocation from the 1998 budget <br />for downtown revitalization. Councilmember Brenner noted the EDC has proposed the <br />development of a downtown revitalization subcommittee and interest indicated a desire for the <br />Minnesota Design Team to assist with the downtown revitalization for a fee of approximately <br />$3,500. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning <br />Mrs. Gaustad reported the Planning and Zoning request for 1998 budgeted funds. The <br />Commission has proposed to pay half the cost to codify the ordinances contingent upon Council <br />matching funds. <br /> <br />Police Commission <br />Mayor Wilharber reported the Police Commission had a special meeting to discuss Circle Lex <br />Police Departments levy limits. In essence, between $49,000 - $60,000 will need to be cut from <br />the police budget. Chief VanBerkleo submitted a list of potential line items which can be reduced <br />or deducted. Furthermore, the City ofCenterville's budgeted portion shows an increase of6.8 <br />percent from last year. The Mayor indicated the final budget analysis will be submitted to the <br />council. <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />6 <br />
