After researching the available park sites <br />in the City of Ccnterville and reviewing our field needs. the Centennial Soccer Club is requesting the <br />following sites and times for 2008: <br /> <br />CENTERVILLE, MN <br /> <br />1. LBIDOot Park: two, @25 yard x 40 yard open spaces located east of the parking lot bounded by the <br />bike path; for U6 - US age group; the fields will be used for games oaly; goals would be setup; 2 fields <br />would be laid out in a North - South orientation and periodic field striping will be done; Mondays - <br />Fridays from @4:00 pm to dusk; @ April28lh to June 30lh. Centennial Soccer Club will manage a <br />reservation system to assign teams to specific dates and times for games. <br /> <br />2. Lamqat ~ark: one, @70 yard x 60 yard open sJ*es located south of the skate board park; for Ul1 - <br />U12 age group; practices ooly; goals will be setup; the field would be laid out in an East - West <br />orientation; Mondays - Fridays .from @3:00 pm to dusk and Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 am to dusk; @ <br />April 1st to October 24th. Centennial Soccer Club will manage a reservation system to assign teams to <br />specific dates and times for practices. <br /> <br />As in the past, we additionally request that these areas be mowed 00 a regular basis (depending upon weather <br />conditions) to keep the grass at a length that does not interfere with the playing of soccer. Also. last year the <br />committee was ~ed with conflicts with the football association and public use of the fields. I'm happy <br />to report that there were no conflicts. <br /> <br />The Centennial Soccer Club greatly appreciates the City of Centerville City Council and Parks and <br />Recreation Committee Members consideration in allowing our club and players to use these fields during our <br />upcoming season for the world's number one sport, soccer. I would also like the opportunity to attend the <br />next Parks & Roo. to discuss our request, and collabomte on future field development.
