RCWD is eager to work with the citizens and government bodies in the Rice <br />Creek drainage toward a more comprehensive and integrated water resource management <br />paradigm. To that end, we are asking your assistance to spread the word. <br /> <br />The Rice Creek Watershed District board appoints Advisory Committee members for <br />one-year terms. Our Advisory Committee currently meets once a month, the first <br />Wednesday, at 5:00 p.m. in our Blaine office. The purpose of the citizen Advisory <br />Coimmittee is to advise and assist the managers on all matters affecting the interests of <br />the watershed district and make recommendations to the managers on all contemplated <br />projects and improvements in the watershed district. Members are also asked to keep <br />current on water-related issues in their community and relay this information to the board <br />and staff. <br /> <br />We would appreciate any thoughts you might have or knowledge of individuals who <br />could serve on the Advisory Committee for the District. For anyone seeking more <br />information or who would like to request an application to serve on the Citizen Advisory <br />Committee they can contact the Rice Creek Watershed District Office at (763) 398-3070. <br />We intend to make our 2008 appointments our Citizen Advisory Committee early in late <br />February of this year.
