<br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Pu~suant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, April 25, 1979 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: <br />Burque, L'Allier, Laska and Savela. <br /> <br /> <br />Gary Savela made a motion to accept the minutes of the <br />April 11 meeting, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the acquiring of the Anoka County <br />Garage facility. Leon L'Allier made a motion to refund <br />the County $1867. which was their sewer assessment on <br />the garage facility, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br />Consensus was to send Resolution to the County Board of <br />Commissioners expressing the City's appreciation for the <br />acquirement of the facility and enclosing the $1867. refund <br />the sewer assessment. Copy of Resolution is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br />Discussion was held on placing a fence along the Olson/City <br />property lines. Matter tabled until next meeting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Wendy Zerwas were in attendance concerning <br />the problem of cleanup on the property at 6892 Centerville <br />Road. Mrs. Mary Zerwas advised council on the disposing of <br />the animals now on the property and Gary Savela made a motion <br />giving them 15 days from this date to clean up the property, <br />Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion held on the flood insurance bill received from <br />Rep. Valento. Leon L'Allier made a motion to advise Rep. <br />Valento and Senator Knaak of the Council's views and ask <br />that they support the bill which is H. F. IJ26 (S.F. 124J) , <br />Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Copy of Resolution <br />advising same is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Mrs. Betty Berg, 7129 Main Street appeared before council <br />requesting the $300. late connection penalty be waived in <br />her case. Leon L'Allier made a motion to waive the $300. <br />late connection penalty because of her financial situation <br />but also giving her until May 25th to connect to the sewer,' <br />Gary Savela seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Council consensus is to ask Gene Mobley, Building Official <br />to attend the Rice Creek Watershed District seminar on <br />individual sewage treatment systems to be held on May 11 <br />in Shoreview. Clerk will make request. <br /> <br />Letters from Mill Road residents residing in the urban <br />service area to the north city limits concerning the <br />street restoration were discussed. <br /> <br />Ordinance concerning consultant fees was discussed and tabled <br />until next meeting. <br />
