<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />April 11, 1979 in City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting <br />to order at 7:00 pm. ~resent were: Burque, L'Allier, Laska <br />and Savela. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept the minutes of the <br />March 28 meeting, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Floyd Laska made a motion to close the City office on Friday, <br />April 13, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. LeRoux appeared before council for discussion on the <br />drainage concerning Lots 3 and 4 of LeRoux Addition. Con- <br />sensus of council was to have Building Official advise parcel <br />owners of Lots 3 and 4 of drainage problem for landscaping <br />purposes when they build their homes. <br /> <br />Preliminary plat of James Commercial Addition was presented <br />to council. The legal description of property being: Lots <br />1 and 2, Block 1, James Commercial Addition. Leon L'Allier <br />made a motion to approve the preliminary plat of James <br />Commercial Addition, Gary Savela seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk read letter from Floyd Kruger to Chairman of the District <br />Memorial Hospital Board in Forest Lake resigning as a member <br />of the Hospital Board as of this date, April 11, 1979. Council <br />thanked Mr. Kruger for his years of service as the Centerville <br />representative to the Board and Fran Burque made a motion to <br />recommend Marita Haberman to fill the balance of Mr. Kruger's <br />term of office, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Clerk <br />will advise Chairman of Hospital Board of council's recommenda- <br />tion. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the problems the City are having with <br />the Zerwas property at 6892 Centerville Road. Leon L'Allier <br />made a motion to instruct the attorney to advise the Zerwas' <br />they are in violation of Ordinance 10, Section I, V. Animals, <br />paragraph A and give them until April 25th to cease violation <br />or they will be issued a citation, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 1979 in <br />City Hall at 7:00 pm to amend Ordinance #10, Section I, <br />V. Animals, paragraph A. <br /> <br />Ms. Roselyn Stanton of 20-20-Realty presented council with <br />resume on Lyle Czech, who is interested in developing a <br />mobile home park in Centerville. <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney, Attorney, representing Messrs. Schmitz <br />and Schifsky, appeared before council with request for <br />rezoning of parcels on Corner of Main Street and 20th Avenue <br />
