<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday <br />March 28, 1979 in the City Hall. Acting Mayor Francis Burque <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: Burque, <br />L'Allier, Laska and Savela. Absent: Mayor Prachar. <br /> <br />Gary Savela made a motion to accept minutes of meeting held <br />March 14, 1979, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk reported on her Clerk's Conference in Brainard she attended <br />last week. <br /> <br />Harvey Cartier appeared before council with request for an <br />increase in his wages from $4.50 an hour to $5.50 an hour. <br />Floyd Laska made a motion to increase Harvey's wages to $5.50 <br />an hour, effective April 1st, 1979, Gary Savela seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Gerald Determan appeared before council with concern over <br />resident on his street raising bees. Clerk will look into <br />situation and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Engineer Walt Williams was in attendance and presented council <br />with copies of City of Centerville map showing streets, existing <br />pIa ts. <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Shannon of Springsted, Inc., presented council with <br />recommendations for the Issuance of $215,000 General Obligation <br />Improvement Bonds of 1979. Floyd Laska made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution authorizing the sale of bonds and setting the sale <br />for April JO, 1979 at 7:JO pm in the City Hall, Leon L'Allier <br />seconded it, roll call taken: Laska, aye; L'Allier, aye; <br />Savela, aye and Burque, aye, no nays heard, motion passed. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the feasibility report on Change Order <br />#1 (78-1), Rehbein Addition, City of Centerville. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Burque read communications from Centennial School <br />District thanking the City for the contribution to the summer <br />recreation program and Metropolitan Council advising us of our <br />1979 local planning assistance grant in the amount of $2,756. <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Mobley, Building Official, appeared before council <br />for discussion on the Donald Zerwas property located at <br />6892 Centerville Road. Clerk was instructed to advise Police <br />Chief to give them )0 days to clean up their property and tow <br />unlicensed truck off of property, give them copies of ordinances <br />dealing with animals and junk-nuisance and Building Official <br />would advise them on the disposal of various buildings on the <br />rear of the property. <br /> <br />Clerk was instructed to request opinion from the Atorney General's <br />office on the City's Ordinance #31. <br /> <br />Floyd Laska made a motion to adjourn meeting, Gary Savela <br />seconded it, motion carried.
