<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />July 25, 1979 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting <br />to order at 8:00 pm. Present were: L 'Allier, Laska and Savela <br />absent: Burque. <br /> <br />Floyd Laska made a motion to accept the minutes of the meeting <br />held July 11 with the following correction: <br /> <br />Paragragh J - 2nd sentence is amended to read: Mr. Petterson <br />advised council of his location and how his operation works as <br />per telephone calls for inspection, he would collect 80% of the <br />building permit fee and an additional one-half of the building <br />permit fee would be collected as a plan inspection fee. Leon <br />L'Allier seconded the motion, motion carried. <br /> <br />Complaints were heard on Northwestern Bell Te~hone Company <br />when they are in Centerville doing work and not cleaning up <br />afterward. <br /> <br />The fence between the hall and Olson property was discussed. <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to check prices for a 42- crowd <br />control fence, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Clerk <br />will check with Metropolitan Fence and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Amendment to Ordinance #10 concerning the riding of horses or <br />other animals in the City. Leon L'Allier made a motion to <br />adopt amendment to Ordinance #10 which is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Final plat of James Commercial Addition was presented to <br />council for approval. This plat is for a superette and proposed <br />gas pumps. After discussion of the plat and looking at the <br />drainage plan, James Refrigeration would like to go on record <br />opposed to utilizing that drainage eastment by draining platted <br />property to the north, especially if someone comes in and <br />utilizes the existing ditch, making it difficult to get around. <br />Gary Savela made a motion to accept the final plat of James <br />Commercial Addition, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Report of Park & Rec Committee that Don Fitch of 7241 Mill <br />Road will be replacing Jerry Lovegren on the Park & Rec Committee <br />for the balance of 1979. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the ditch grades on Mill Road. Clerk <br />is to advise parties taking out building permits for PETERSON'S <br />OLD HOMESTEAD ADIDITION of the ditch grades and that the City <br />requirements on same. Copy of letter concerning this is attached <br />to and made a part of these minutes. Floyd Laska made a motion <br />to authorize the City Engineer to institute change order on <br />Mill Road if costs are $1,000. or less. If over $1,000., City <br />Engineer is instructed to come back to the council for approval, <br />Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br />
