<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />June 1J in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to <br />order at 8:00 pm. Present were: Burque, L'Allier, Laska and <br />Savela. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept the minutes of the May <br />2J meeting, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Problem with boats being raced and demonstrated on Peltier Lake. <br />Clerk is to check with Water Patrol of Anoka County on same. <br /> <br />Several residents voiced concern with the dust and chuck hole <br />problem on the city streets and ways to solve it. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion that the City give consideration <br />in the form of a variance on set back requirements where it is <br />partially built up basically on county roads where there has <br />been a change in the right of way, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />The request of Messrs. Schmidt and Schifsky on rezoning of <br />parcel from industrial to commercial for purpose of mobile <br />home facility was discussed. Clerk read recommendation of <br />P & Z and Gary Savela made a motion to follow the P & Z <br />recommendation and reject the rezoning request, Leon L'Allier <br />seconded it, roll taken as follows: Savela, aye; L'Allier, <br />aye; Laska, aye; Burque, aye, Prachar, aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on fence placement between Olson property and City <br />Hall was held. Leon L'Allier will look into the matter and <br />report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Request from Mr. Glenn Wong for ].2 Beer permit for the House <br />of Chu was taken up. Leon L'Allier made a motion to issue <br />a 3.2 Beer permit for the balance of 1979 to the House of <br />Chu, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Tramm of Mardon Homes appeared before council with request <br />for a 5' variance to Ordinance #10, Section I, Ill-Residential, <br />Grear yeard requirements, because of the shape of the lot and <br />the rear yard requirements are 25' from the property line and <br />his footings are approximately 2]' from the line. Mr. Ed <br />LaBossiere was also in attendance who owns the property abutting <br />1594 Peltier Lake Drive and voiced his opinion on the matter. <br />Clerk read the recommendation of the P & Z board. Leon L'Allier <br />made a motion to grant a variance on the above Ordinance to Mr. <br />Tramm because of the lot being platted such a long time ago <br />and the City considered it a buildable lot, Floyd Laska <br />seconded it, motion carried. <br />
