<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />May 9, 1979 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting <br />to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: Burque, L'Allier, Laska <br />and Savela. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept the minutes of the April <br />25 and May 7 meetings, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk read the public hearing notice on amendment to Ordinance <br />No. 10. Floyd Laska made a motion to adopt amendment to <br />Ordinance # 10, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Copy <br />of amendment is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Mrs. Donald Zerwas, 6892 Centerville Road was in attendance <br />requesting variance to Ordinance #10 concerning her animals <br />housed on their property. Floyd Laska made a motion to grant <br />variance to Ordinance #10, Section 1, V. Animals (a) and that <br />the animals have to be fenced in and the ~5 chickens butchered <br />on or before November 1st of this year, Fran Burque seconded <br />it, motion carried. Mrs. Zerwas advised council that the pony <br />is for sale and would be sold as soon as possible. Mayor <br />Prachar informed Mrs. Zerwas that the council requests no <br />increase in the number of animals now on the property, which <br />consists of 25 chickens, 5 ducks and 4 geese. <br /> <br />Gary Savela made a motion that the City Council meeting hours <br />for convening conform with daylight saving time; 8:00 pm April <br />through October; 7:00 pm November through March, Fran Burque <br />seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Marcel Rivard appeared before council for discussion on Sorel <br />Street extension and water problem on his property. <br /> <br />Discussion on fence between City/Olson property. Floyd Laska <br />and Clerk were to get some prices and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk was instructed to write Park Lane Service and ask for <br />attendance at next meeting to advise COllncil on his sewer <br />hook-up at 1724 Main Street. <br /> <br />Rosalyn stanton of 20-20 Realty presented council with <br />request of Lyle Czeck to construct a mobile home park in <br />Centerville. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to adopt Resolution approving <br />award of the 1978-79 local planning assistance grant funds, <br />Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. A copy of the <br />Resolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />As of this date, load limits are off the city streets, except <br />for Mill Road which will remain until conditions warrant <br />removing the load limits. <br />
