<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville held a public hearing on <br />Improvment #80-1 in the City Hall. <br /> <br />The hearing was called to order at 7:25 pm. Present were: <br />L'Allier, Laska, Attorney Hawkins and Engineer Williams. <br />Arriving later were Murray and Savela. <br /> <br />Clerk read notice of public hearing. Engineer described <br />project to council and audience and summarized the three <br />methods of costs involved. Copy of these methods are <br />attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />~everal members of audience; Roy Mattson, Sonny DaBruzzi, <br />Robert Houle and David Alley voiced their comments and <br />opinions on the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier to adopt Resolution <br />accepting Method III: Assessing and serving only the <br />west side of County Road #21, 587' north from corner <br />of Main Street and #21, at a total cost of $33,535. <br />@ $57.13 per front foot. <br />Roll call taken: Laska, aye; L'Allier, aye; Murray, nay; <br />Savela, nay, motion failed being tie vote. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, Motion by Laska, second <br />by L'Allier to adopt Resolution accepting Method III, <br />roll call taken: Laska, aye; L'Allier, aye, Murray, <br />aye; Savela, aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />Resolution Ordering Improvement and Preparation of Plans <br />and Specifications was adopted by City Council. Kesolution <br />is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Savela added the following comment to be <br />part of these minutes- "The three parties involved; <br />Accessory Research ~ngineering, Ro-So Contracting and <br />Futura Homes are acting as a unit in this project and <br />they will not incur any costs for parties on east side <br />of County Koad 421 if and when they request service to <br />their property during duration of this project". <br /> <br />Clerk will check with First State Bank of Hugo on the <br />financing of project. Engineer Williams will have plans <br />and specifications for project at October 22nd meeting <br />of City Council. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to adjourn hearing, <br />motion carried.
