<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />August 27, 1980 in City Hall. Present were: L'Allier, Laska, <br />and Murray. Absent: Burque. Acting Mayor Savela called the <br />meeting to order at 8:16 pm. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier to accept the minutes of <br />the August 13th meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Request from council to P & z to <br />hold two meetings per month in order to work on ordinances <br />in need of revision. Concern from several residents in the <br />Center Oaks development about the houses being built by <br />Gardner-Seim Construction. <br /> <br />Messrs. Roy Mattson and Sonny DaBruzzi appeared before council <br />petitioning the City to extend the sewer line from the corner <br />of 20th Avenue and Main Street north approximately 400 feet. <br />Motion by Murray, second by Laska to adopt Resolution Directing <br />Engineer to Report whether extension of sewer line from 20th <br />Avenue and Main Street north 400' is feasible and the estimated <br />cost, motion carried. Copy of Resolution is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Clerk read letter from Engineer Williams regarding drainage <br />problem at 1529 ~eltier Lake Drive. Consensus of council that <br />City has no involvement in problem. <br /> <br />Drainage problem in Peterson's Old Homestead Addition was <br />discussed conerning the slab and catch basin on Lot 5, Block <br />2, Peterson's Old rtomestead Addition. Attorney advised that <br />Mrs. Peterson was not the developer as such and as she does <br />not own any property in Centerville at this time, she would <br />not be held liable for correction to problem. Motion by Laska, <br />second by L'Allier, to leave situation as it is and remedy <br />problem when party or parties develop the back portion adjacent <br />to this property, motion carried. <br /> <br />~ngineer brought council up to date on street improvement. <br />Oak Hill Sand and Gravel will be completing work to be done <br />and final estimate will be issued in both names of Northern <br />Asphalt and Oak Hill Sand and Gravel. <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Grundhofer appeared before council advising he is <br />interested in putting up a 40 x 50 building adjacent to the <br />James Refrigeration property on Main Street for an off sale <br />liquor store. Council advised him to appear before Planning <br />and Zoning at their next meeting on September 2nd for <br />consideration of propo sal.. <br /> <br />Mr. Dave Torkildson, Anoka County Park Director, reported on <br />the progress of the Chain of Lakes-Rice Creek Regional ~ark <br />Reserve. <br />
