<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />August IJ, 1980 in the City Hall. Mayor Burque called the <br />meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present were: L'Allier, Laska, <br />Murray, Savela and ~ngineer Williams. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Savela to accept the minutes of the <br />July 2Jrd meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: numerous complaints on 1756 Peltier <br />Lake Drive were voiced. <br /> <br />Discussion held on the basement set back on Mill Road. Will <br />be discussed further at next meeting when attorney is in <br />attendance. Motion by L'Allier, second by Murray to hold <br />public hearing on August 27th at 7:00 pm for amendment to <br />Ordinance #10, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Gary Dowd of 1529 Peltier Lake Drive was in attendance <br />advising council of drainage problem occuring on his property. <br />Bngineer is to look at problem and discussed at next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Roy Mattson of Accessory Research Engineering appeared <br />before council with site plan on the property located off <br />of Main Street on 20th Avenue. <br /> <br />Mel Dupre, Centerville representative on the Park Board <br />gave a report on the Chain of Lakes ~ark Reserve. Mr. Torkildson <br />will be a next meeting to give further report on same. <br /> <br />Energy audit report was looked at by council and questions <br />came up on the report which only Mr. Holstad. could answer <br />so clerk was instructed to request his presence at next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Krieger of Oak Hill Sand and Gravel was in attendance <br />advising Council that if Northern Asphalt does not complete <br />work on street project, they will do the seeding that has <br />to be done and requested the city to pay him direct. Clerk <br />advised council attorney is writing letter to Northern Asphalt <br />advising him of retaining another contractor since Northern <br />has not finished the job. <br /> <br />The drainage problem in Peterson's Old Homestead Addition <br />was discussed and ~ngineer is to get estimate for council <br />to consider in taking care of the problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Murray, second by Savela for clerk not to issue <br />any building permits until Council members or P & Z Board <br />has looked at site, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council of appearance of Royce ArVidson before <br />P & Z on August 5, 1980 requesting a lot split of PLAT 27851 <br />PARC~L 2J20. P & Z had recommended approval of variance <br />for lot split. Split would be one lot 9J.J3 x 125.17 and <br />other lot 194 x 100. Motion by L'Allier, second by Savela <br />to grant variance to Ordinance #15, Section 6, (10), because <br />it is not feasible to plat parcel, motion carried. <br />
