<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, July 23, 1980 in City Hall. Mayor Burque called <br />the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present were: L'Allier, <br />Laska, Murray and Savela. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to accept the minutes <br />of the July 9th meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Discussion on the foundation that <br />has been put in on Lot 2, Block 2, Peterson's Old Homestead <br />Addition. Motion by L'Allier, second by Murray to withhold <br />building permits on Lot 1, Block 1 and Lot 2, Block 2, <br />Peterson's Old Homestead Addition until the matter of the <br />foundation on Lot 2, Block 2 is settled, motion carried. <br /> <br />Several complaints on dogs barking during the night, flushing <br />of plastic down the sewer, foul language on the tennis courts <br />and children out on the city streets after curfew. Clerk <br />instructed to send informational letter to all residents <br />informing them of the above, copy of same will be attached <br />to these minutes. <br /> <br />The Comprehensive City Plan of Lino Lakes was discussed. <br />All members of the council have reviewed the plan and find <br />no changes or suggestions to the plan at this time. Clerk <br />will inform the City of Lino Lakes of same. <br /> <br />Drainage problem in Peterson's Old Homestead Addition and <br />cleaning ditch on west side of Mill Road was discussed. <br />Consensus of council is to put temporary fence around manhole <br />on east side of Mill Road until problem can be taken care of <br />and not to clean the ditch on the west side of Mill Road <br />until the culvert gets filled up more than it is at the <br />present time and presents a problem. <br /> <br />Engineer advised council on standard street light requirements <br />as outlined by NSP. Discussion on placing street light at <br />the end of Peltier Lake Drive adjacent to the tee in order to <br />light the area of 1693 Peltier Lake Drive. Clerk will check <br />on whether there is an existing pole at the site and find <br />out the cost from NSP for installing a light. <br /> <br />Jerry Sundberg was in attendance advising council on the <br />status of the tanker truck the Fire Department is interested <br />in purchasing from the City of Lanesboro. Motion by Savela, <br />second by Murray to instruct Fire Department to purchase <br />the 1800 gallon tanker truck at a price of $8,000. - $4,000. <br />to be paid on delivery, $4,000. in 1981, motion carried. <br />City of Lanesboro will draw up purchase agreement on same <br />and reviewed by City Attorney before purchasing. <br /> <br />Gary Savela was named Acting Mayor in Mr. Burque's absence. <br />
