<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville met as a canvass board on Wednesday, <br />April 23, 1980 in Gity Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting <br />to order at 6:45 pm. Motion by Savela, second by Burque to <br />adopt Resolution Announcing the Results of Such nlection, <br />motion carried. Copy of Hesolution is in the SPECIAL ~L~CTION <br />OF APRIL 22, 1980 FIL~. Motion by Burque, second by L'Allier <br />to adjourn, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:55 pm. <br /> <br />Mayor Prachar called the regular meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: Durque, L'Allier, Laska <br />and Savela. Motion by Burque, second by Laska to accept minutes <br />of April 9, 1980 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />P~TITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaints were noted on commuter <br />parking on street, horse riders on Mound Trail. <br /> <br />Audit proposal was discussed. Motion by L'Allier, second by <br />Laska to accept quote from George M. Hansen Company to do the <br />1979 audit of the City books, motion carried. <br /> <br />Resurfacing of the parking lot was discussed. Walt Williams <br />was instructed to advise Oak Hill Sand and Gravel to restore <br />the 20 feet of church property adjacent to the parking lot <br />back to its original state and the parking lot will be moved <br />to another location. Matter to be discussed at next meeting. <br /> <br />Council consensus was not to contribute to the Circle-Lex <br />Poppy Drive. <br /> <br />Gerald Rehbein appeared before council for discussion of <br />issuance of grading permit for area outside of Rehbein ~states <br />Plat. Motion by L'Allier, second by Burque to issue grading <br />permit to Gerald Rehbein pending engineer review and approval, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Northern Asphalt Construction was discussed. The <br />contractor is requesting funds to be paid him before the <br />project is finished. Council consensus was to wait for project <br />finalization before any funds are disbursed. <br /> <br />Clerk is to advise Dean Olson, 1688 Sorel Street to stop <br />dumping used oil on the city property. <br /> <br />Mrs. David Waugaman appeared before council with question <br />on drainage ditch completion in the Center Oaks project. Walt <br />Williams will look into matter and advise clerk on matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koch appeared before council with request to place <br />fence on the city right of way in front of his home at 1626 <br />Peltier Lake Drive. Motion by Savela, second by Laska to <br />table matter until next meeting, motion carried. <br />
