Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 1980 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. ~resent were: Burque, L'Allier, Laska and Savela. Attorney Hawkins was also present. Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept the minutes of the February 27th meeting, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Letter from l~ietropoli tan Waste Control Commission was dis- cussed. The MWCC advised the City that the monthly sewer service charge will increase to $1,263. a month. This will make the total for the year $14,014.76 instead of $10,591.08. The agreement submitted by Holstad & Associates in relation to a energy mini-audit to be done on the City's buildings was discussed. Floyd Daska made a motion to authorize the ~ayor to enter into an agreement with Holstad & Associates, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Discussion was held on resurfacing the city parking lot in the spring. Clerk will request City ~ngineer to come up with dimensions to resurface and quote for same. Mayor will speak to Father Lally concerning financial assistance on the cost. Matter will be discussed at March 26th meeting. Quote on 1979 audit was discussed from Anfinson, Hendrick- son and Company. Clerk was to get another quote and present at April 9th meeting. The 1980 Tree Inspection Contract with Outdoor Research and Development was discussed. Leon L'Allier made a motion to enter into a contract with Outdoor Research & Development for the year 1980 in the amount of $1,100.00, Gary 0avela seconded it, motion carried. The agreement with Lake Sanitation for refuse hauling in the City of Centerville was discussed. Fran Burque made a motion to approve agreement with Lake Sanitation for a five year period, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Floyd Kruger appeared before council with Park Committee report. The report is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Consensus of council was to offer Mrs. LaMotte $2,000. an acre for the ten acre piece the City is interested in and ask for a reply by April 9th. Mayor informed council of public hearing to be held on Tues- day, April 1st on the City Comprehensive Plan. This would be joint meeting between Planning and Zoning and City Council. Jerry Sundberg appeared before council with discussion on the fire hall addition to the City garage. Jerry is submitting plans of addition to three contractors for quote and will report at the next meeting.
