<br />~ <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />December 9, 1981 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting <br />to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: L'Allier, Laska and <br />Wilharber. Absent: Murray. Motion by Wilharber, second by <br />L'Allier to accept minutes of November 25, 1981 meeting, motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Zerwas of 6882 Centerville Road presented council <br />with petition for traffic speed reduction on Centerville Road. <br />Clerk read petition which was signed by 65 residents of <br />Centerville. Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to adopt <br />Resolution accepting Mr. Zerwas' petition to reduce the speed <br />on Centerville Road and to recommend a speed limit of 40 miles <br />per hour to the State Department of Transportation stressing <br />the reason being the present width of road with no acceptable <br />amount of shoulder space, motion carried. Copy of Petition <br />and Resolution is on file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Mr. Lewis Hendricks, 1621 Peltier Lake Drive was in attendance <br />requesting council action on his letter of November 12, 1981 <br />concerning an amimal problem he has been experiencing on his <br />property. Mr. Larry Koch, 1626 Peltier Lake Drive was also <br />in attendance with response to Hendricks letter. Mr. Hendricks <br />was advised by council on the action he can take to alleviate <br />the problem. <br /> <br />Mr. Floyd Kruger, Parks & Recreation Committee chairman reported <br />on meeting held to interview applicants for skating rink <br />attendants. Six applicants were interviewed by committee. <br />Council rejected Randy Lauderbaugh and Brian Salin for daytime <br />flooding of rink. Motion by L'Allier, second by Wilharber <br />to hire Jerome Hughes, Joe Perkowski, Joe LaBossiere and Ron <br />Burque for skating rink attendants at minimum wage, motion <br />carried. Clerk will check on minimum wage figure. <br /> <br />Council considered the elimination' of ~he second sentence <br />of Section 6, Ordinance #13 which reads: No license shall <br />be issued to an individual who is a non-resident of the Village <br />of Centerville. Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier to amend <br />Ordinance 13, Section 6 to read as follows: No license shall <br />be granted to or held by any person made ineligible for such <br />a license under state law. No license shall be issued for any <br />place or for any business ineligible for such a license under <br />state law, Wilharber, nay; motion carried. Copy of amended <br />Ordinance 13, Section 6 is attached to and made a part of <br />these minutes. <br /> <br />Applications for 1982 licenses for Twin Lakes Pavillion were <br />presented to council by attorney Larry Neilson representing <br />Mr. Raymond Dykema, R.
