<br />page two - City Council <br />meeting minutes - <br />September 12, 1981 <br /> <br />Mr. Sonny DaBruzzi appeared before council with plans for a <br />proposed 60 x 100 building to be erected on his property <br />on 20th Avenue next to Accessory Research ~ngineering. <br />Council consensus to give preliminary approval to building <br />on DaBruzzi parcel with the understanding he gets approval <br />of drainage plan from Rice Creek Watershed District, deed <br />for appropriation of 20 foot drainage easement involving <br />10 feet of DaBruzzi and 10 feet of Gerald Rehbein property <br />and all necessary information needed by building inspector. <br /> <br />Mr. Karl Schoeler of United Laboratories gave demonstration <br />on chemical his firm recommends using in lift stations. <br />Mr. Schoeler will transmit estimate on cost of chemical <br />to council before budget hearings commence. <br /> <br />Fire Department representative gave presentation on proposed <br />60 x 66 fire hall to be erected on city property on <br />Heritage Street at a cost of $87,505. Lengthy discussion <br />followed on the building specifications, cost, financing <br />of same. Council members and fire department representatives <br />plan to meet and discuss aspects of project at a meeting <br />set up for September 17th. <br /> <br />Neil Petrowske of 1969 Main Street appeared before council <br />concerning location of the sewer connection stub for the <br />property described above. <br /> <br />Budget hearing set for Monday, September 28th at 7:00 pm <br />in City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Wi1harber, second by L'A1lier to pay bills, <br />motion carried. Copy of Receipts and Disbursements is <br />attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Murray to adjourn meeting, <br />motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11=00 pm. <br /> <br />ReS~lY submitted, <br /> <br />/ /'~y~/ ~~ ~~( -~ ~/. -C\- /\~ <br />'~~r, Clerk <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 9, 1981 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the <br />meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present were: L'Allier, Laska, <br />Murray and Wilharber. Motion by Wilharber, second by Murray <br />to accept minutes of August 26, 1981 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaint on kids running on <br />streets in Centerville, Clerk read letter from Bngineer on <br />complaint voiced at August 26th meeting concerning debris <br />in back yards of Center Oaks development, complaint on <br />drainage problem at 1563 Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> <br />Discretionary fund application was discussed. Mr. Short, <br />City Planner was in attendance with letter from Barton <br />Aschmann concerning the billing status for preparation <br />of city comprehensive plan. Copy of letter is attached <br />to and made a part of these minutes. Motion by t'Allier <br />to apply for discretionary funds with the stipulation that <br />the bill with Barton-Aschmann would be considered paid in <br />full when we receive the $1794. award from Metropolitan <br />Council plus the City share amounting to $598. totaling <br />$2,392.00, motion failed for lack of second. <br /> <br />Change Order ff3 for Street Restoration project was introduced. <br />Contractor is Lino Lakes Blacktop for street patch work in <br />the amount of $4,637.00. Clerk read Resolution approving <br />Change Order #3. Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier to <br />adopt Resolution approving Change Order #3, motion carried. <br />Copy of Resolution is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />8:JO PM - Clerk read notice of public hearing on Amendment <br />to Ordinance #13. Frank ~imny, 7252 LaValle Drive gave <br />brief presentation requesting council to deny amendment, <br />Don Bumgarner, 7281 Main Street appeared and requested <br />approval of amendment. Motion by Wilharber, second by <br />Murray to deny amendment to Ordinance #13 as read by clerk; <br />roll call taken: Wilharber, aye; Murray, aye; L'Allier, <br />abstain; Laska, nay; Savela, aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Murray to adjourn hearing, <br />motion carried. nearing adjourned at 8:40 pm. <br />Council meeting resumed. <br /> <br />Discussion on having rocker panels put on snow plow truck. <br />Harvey Cartier had received one quote and council requested <br />written quote from Lakeside Auto. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilman L'Allier asked clerk to request a police officer <br />be present at one of our monthly council meetings for dis- <br />cussion on police matters. <br /> <br />~- <br />
