<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, March <br />10, 1982 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 pm. Present were: L'Allier, Laska and Wilharber. <br />Absent: Murray. Motion by Wilharber, seconded by Laska to <br />accept minutes of February 17th meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMLAINTS: Complaints voiced on the sewer <br />sludge spreading done by W & G Rehbein Bros. on property <br />in Centerville; the need for a stop sign on the three exits <br />from Tripple's Market parking lot onto Mill Road and Main <br />Street. Clerk will request placement of signs from Tripple's <br />and Anoka County. Harvey advised that snow plow truc~ will <br />have to be removed from Tourville property by April 1st. <br /> <br />Rich Granger appeared before council requesting transfer of <br />sewer rights from Tract "E", Registered Land Survey #65 to <br />Tract "D", Registered Land Survey #65; Tract "E" being 11 <br />acres in area; Tract "D", 9.8 acres in area. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, seconded by Wilharber to transfer 4.9 acres <br />of sewer service area from Tract "E" to Tract "D", leaving <br />.5 acre service area on Tract "E"; sufficient service for <br />one house on Tract "E" parcel; Mr. Granger to pay all <br />engineering fees, including redrawing of sewer service area <br />map and any legal fees incurred from such action, motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Englund presented council with overall formula <br />for 1982 fire contract with Lino Lakes, or second year fee <br />of five-year contract, a~ount being $16,125.68 payable <br />quarterly in the amount of $4,031.42. Council consensus <br />to send information to Lino Lakes. Fire Department requested <br />purchase of helmets and coats; only six helmets should be <br />ordered at present time, amounting to approximately $360. <br /> <br />Balance of meeting was spent on discussion of procedures <br />involved in permitting the spread of sewer sludge on property <br />in Centerville. Messrs. George Johnson and Ken LeVoir from <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency ex~lained their responsi- <br />bilities with the process. Question/answer period was held <br />with considerable amount of displeasure on process voiced <br />from audience. Clerk will check on ordinance prohibiting <br />the spread of sewer sludge and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Wilharber to pay current disburse- <br />ments, motion carried. Copy of Receipts and Disbursements <br />is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Ordinance review will be held March 24th, 7:00 PM. Reg~lar' <br />meeting is cancelled. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, seconded by Laska to adjourn meeting, <br />motion carried.
