<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 8, 1982 in City Hall. Mayor Savela called the <br />meeting to order at 8100 PM. Present were: L'Allier, <br />Laska, Murray and Wilharber. Minutes of August 25, 1982 <br />were discussed; motion by L'Allier, second by Murray to <br />approve minutes of August 25, 1982 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaints on yards on Peltier <br />Lake Drive; cars parked on property on Peltier Lake Drive <br />with proper license and the weed situation on lot on <br />Heritage and Goiffon Streets. <br /> <br />Mayor Savela advised council of conversation with Lino <br />Lakes Administrator concerning the petition on sewer <br />sludge and Administrator will get back to Mayor after <br />discussion at the next Lino Lakes meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. James McGregor appeared before council with request <br />to extend Sorel Street to Clearwater Road. Mr. McGregor was <br />advised that the parcels in question would require sewer <br />service and blacktop street constructed before building <br />would take place. The Mayor or clerk was to contact Engineer <br />about situation and request cost figures on same. <br /> <br />Letter from Metropolitan Council on land planning grant <br />funds available to Centerville, was discussed. Clerk is <br />to check on this and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Communication from Lester Betts was read by council. <br />Item #4 on agenda was cancelled at this time. <br /> <br />Floyd Kruger reported on the progress of Centerville <br />Park. He advised council additional fence would have to <br />be placed in front of player benches and also asked that <br />bases be purchased for both ballfields. Motion by Laska, <br />second by L'Allier for city to purchase bases for ballfields <br />at this time, motion carried. <br /> <br />Fire Chief reported on fire department business. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Wilharber to pay current <br />disbursements, motion carried. Copy of Receipts and <br />Disbursements is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Murray to adjourn meeting, <br />motion carried.
