<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of <br />Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, August <br />11, 1982 in City Hall. Acting Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 8:00 PM. Present were: Laska and <br />Wilharber. Absent: Savela and Murray. Motion by Laska, <br />second by Wilharber to accept minutes of July 28, 1982 <br />meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />Messrs. Louie LeTendre, Marc Rivard and Ray Houle representing <br />the Centerville Lions Club presented the City with a check <br />for $1,750.00 as contribution to the Centerville City Park <br />development. Acting Mayor L'Allier thanked the Lions Club <br />for their funds and also number of manhours spent on develop- <br />ment. Discussion on the completion of park at this time. <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to go ahead with fencing <br />for the wings of the two back stops as per bid of $l,JOO., <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on speed limit changes on Centerville Road. Clerk <br />will check with County on final decision made on same, <br /> <br />Resolution introduced pertaining to Ordinance #4 publication. <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to adopt Resolution <br />authorizing the publication of Ordinance #4 in summary form, <br />motion carried. Copy of Resolution is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to adopt Resolution <br />appointing election judges for September 14th primary election, <br />motion carried. Copy of Resolution is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Clerk read letter from Peltier Lake Drive residents concerning <br />condition of yard at 1567 Peltier Lake Drive. Clerk was to <br />write owner about condition and advise him to clean it up <br />within ten days from receipt of letter, also letters to <br />1862 Main Street and 1759 Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> <br />Mr. Jeff Nottum of 7238 Main Street appeared before council <br />with reference to variance request for front yard setback. <br />He was advised to appear befor8 P & Z for their recommendation <br />on request. <br /> <br />Frank Tuckner appeared before council with reference to <br />access to the property, Lots 4, 5, and 6, Block lJ and <br />Lots 7 & 8, Block 12. Clerk will consult Engineer and <br />Attorney on matter. <br /> <br />Mr. George Johnson of Minnesota Pollution Control Agency <br />was in attendance to discuss application of W & G Rehbein <br />Bros., to spread sludge on parcels of property in Centerville. <br />After lengthy discussion, motion was made by Wilharber, second <br />by Laska to table matter until full council can discuss it <br />further, motion carried. <br /> <br />\ <br />\ <br />~ <br />
