Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Centerville City Council held a budget meeting on December 20, 1989 at City Hall. Mayor Haberman called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: Pelton, Burgstahler, Neumann. 19 9.0. census Debra Gonsior, Assistant to the Clerk/Administrator was present to update the City Council on the progress of the 1990 Census information. Motion by Neumann, second by Pelton to approve the 1990 Census information collected by Debra Gonsior, Assistant to the Clerk/Administrator, and to send that information to the Census Bureau Branch office along with a cover letter, motion carried unanimously. w ' `-m- - Kq r A •Wil Fred Ross Horning, applicant for the liquor licenses was present to discuss the license applications with the City Council. Horning noted several points: -- He is applying for all the licenses in his own name. No other person will be listed on the licenses. He feels that he can be an asset to the community and the establishment. He has a concern for the community, and he does have a 25% investment in the Centerville Lounge. GRADAN Corporation has three share holders: William Horning has a secondary interest in the corporation. Dan Braun owns 75% of the shares of the corporation. -- Dan Braun does have a previous felony charge related to liquor control. Horning was unaware of these circumstances prior to investing in the lounge, and he has only known Braun for four years. -- The Corporation owns the building, and will be leasing it to Fred Horning, All the bills are paid by the Corporation. -- If the City Council were to allow it, Dan Braun is anticipated to be the manager of the Centerville Lounge. -- There are only two members on the board of directors -- Fred Ross Horning and Dan Braun. now Braun has been managing the Centerville Lounge during most of 1989.
