Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Centerville City <br />Council held a budget meeting on December 20, 1989 at City Hall. <br />Mayor Haberman called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: <br />Pelton, Burgstahler, Neumann. <br />19 9.0. census <br />Debra Gonsior, Assistant to the Clerk/Administrator was present to <br />update the City Council on the progress of the 1990 Census <br />information. <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Pelton to approve the 1990 Census <br />information collected by Debra Gonsior, Assistant to the <br />Clerk/Administrator, and to send that information to the Census <br />Bureau Branch office along with a cover letter, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />w ' `-m- - Kq r A •Wil <br />Fred Ross Horning, applicant for the liquor licenses was present <br />to discuss the license applications with the City Council. <br />Horning noted several points: <br />-- He is applying for all the licenses in his own name. No <br />other person will be listed on the licenses. <br />He feels that he can be an asset to the community and the <br />establishment. <br />He has a concern for the community, and he does have a <br />25% investment in the Centerville Lounge. <br />GRADAN Corporation has three share holders: William <br />Horning has a secondary interest in the corporation. Dan <br />Braun owns 75% of the shares of the corporation. <br />-- Dan Braun does have a previous felony charge related to <br />liquor control. Horning was unaware of these <br />circumstances prior to investing in the lounge, and he <br />has only known Braun for four years. <br />-- The Corporation owns the building, and will be leasing <br />it to Fred Horning, All the bills are paid by the <br />Corporation. <br />-- If the City Council were to allow it, Dan Braun is <br />anticipated to be the manager of the Centerville Lounge. <br />-- There are only two members on the board of directors -- <br />Fred Ross Horning and Dan Braun. <br />now Braun has been managing the Centerville Lounge during <br />most of 1989. <br />
