<br />Transportation Advisory Board <br />of the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities <br /> <br />ACTION TRANSMITTAL <br /> <br />No. 2008-03 <br /> <br />DATE: <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />February 14, 2008 <br />Transportation Advisory Board <br />Technical Advisory Committee <br />2007 Regional Solicitation: 2011-2012 Funding Altematives <br /> <br />MOTION: That the Transportation Advisory Board consider the recommended funding <br />allocations for Safety (HSIP), Railroad Highway Grade Crossing (RRX), Transportation <br />Enhancements (TE), Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ), and Bridge <br />Improvement and Replacement (BIR) project funds as well as consider the two <br />alternatives for use of STP-UG funds as described in the attached memorandum. <br /> <br />(UPDATE) During discussion of the STP-UG funding alternatives at the TAC and TAB <br />meetings in January, two additional STP-UG funding alternatives were proposed. <br />Summary sheets for these two additional alternatives were prepared an included in your <br />mailing so the TAB could compare them to the two alternatives forwarded by the TAC, <br />Alternatives 1 and 5A. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF ACTION: The approved projects will be added to <br />the region's 2009-2012 Transportation Improvement Program for implementation in <br />years 2011 and 2012. Background information is included in the attached <br />memorandum. <br /> <br />Attached to this action transmittal is the funding level memo dated January 8, 2008 that <br />was previously sent to the TAB.
