Inspector <br />Administration <br />City Administrator with additional direction provided <br />by Public Works Director <br />Exempt Date: <br /> <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: <br />Exempt salaried position. Coordinates development proposals, plats, permits, inspects <br />construction projects, etc. Responsibilities include reviewing construction drawings and <br />specifications, construction liaison, field survey work, and inspections, and other related <br />duties. Monitors construction to ensure uniform performance and compliance with <br />applicable plans, specifications, policies and ordinances. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED: <br />Works under the genera) guidance and direction of the City Administrator with addi tional <br />direction provided by Public Works Director. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED: <br />None <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />. Gathers input from various staff, commissions, agencies and consultants <br />to ensure that City requirements are met in land developments and city <br />construction projects. <br /> <br />. Under the general supervision of the designated consulting engineer, <br />coordinates/performs construction inspections of projects. lnvesligalt:s problems <br />and recommends solutions to the consultant engineer, City Administrator, and <br />Public Works Director. <br /> <br />. Coordinates construction with and provides technical support/guidance to <br />consultant engineer, City Administrator, City Council, Public Works, <br />contractors, utility agencies and the general public. <br /> <br />. Attends City Council meetings and other meetings as required. Prepares reports <br />for such meetings. <br /> <br />.
