City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes March 26, 2008 None VII. OLD BUSINESS I, 2008 Fete des Lacs - Citv Funding (Festival/Fishing Contest) Parade? City Attorney Glaser reported that he reviewed the funding requests and stated everything is appropriate and legal for the City to spend money on, Motion bv Council Member Broussard-Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Paar. to approve the 2008 Fete des Lacs - City Fundin!! for the FestivallFishin!! Contest per the City Attornev's approval. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. Councilmember Lee commented that the County has not responded with information on the approval for the parade to date. City Administrator Larson commented the County would probably sit on the application until it knew whether or not the contractor would dig into the road or they would just deny the application. Discussion ensued. Consensus was that Councilmember Lee would talk to the Parade Chairperson about options. 2. InspectorlProiect Coordinator Position 3. Draft Ordinance for Deferment of Special Assessments City Administrator Larson reported Items 2 and 3 were placed on the agenda for consideration. The items were on the last work session, but due to time constraints, they were not discussed. The Council is free to table or defer this item until a work session. Motion bv Council Member Broussard-Vickers. seconded bv Council Member Paar. to defer the InspectorlProiect Coordinator Position and the Draft Ordinance for Deferment of Special Assessments to a City Council Work Session. date to be determined. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. 4. Resolution #08-01 L Ordering a Public Hearing on the 2009 Street Improvement Proiect. City Administrator Larson called attention to the draft resolution calling for a Public Hearing on the 2009 Street Improvement Project. Discussion ensued. Page 3 of 5
