<br />COMMUNITY F AClLITIES AND SERVICES GOALS AND POLICIES <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />It is the goal of the City ofCenterville to: <br />. Promote safe neighborhoods and low crime in the community. <br />. Retain the quality ofIife in the community. <br />. Provide efficient and responsive services to residents and businesses. <br />. Maintain the quality of education available to residents. <br /> <br />It is the policy of the City ofCenterville to: <br />. Compare the level of administrative, maintenance and emergency response <br />services to community wide needs and objectives. <br />. Explore potential joint service initiatives through continued communication <br />and cooperation v.ith City, County and School officials. <br />. Promote effective communication with residents, business owners, educators <br />and volunteer organizations to maintain an understanding of community goals <br />and objectives and participate in community affairs. <br />. Annually evaluate the level of public services provided and the associated costs <br />of services. <br /> <br />· Design public utility systems for optimum development or saturation in the <br />community and establish cost effective staging or sequencing of utility systems. <br />. Establish priority for basic services to ensure the highest levels of safety and <br />accessibility are provided in the community. <br />. Expand efforts for effective communication and cooperation with surrounding <br />,,--.~"~ ~ - <br /> <br />cities on area grov.th issues and common concerns. <br />. Require that development proposals are consistent with planned extensions of <br />public utilities and incorporate necessary extensions of core facilities. <br />· Prohibit development with private utilities which are located in future utility <br />districts identified and planned in the City. <br />.
