The purpose of the meeting was discuss the <br />proposed preliminary budget for 1995. Mayor Buckbee called the <br />meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. Present: Brenner, Dario, <br />Helmbrecht, Wilharber. <br /> <br />The City Council discussed the proposed <br />noted bids were received from: City of <br />Sheriff and Washington County Sheriff. <br />on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />police budget. It was <br />Lino Lakes, Anoka County <br />A copy of these bids are <br /> <br />It was noted that the Ramsey County Sheriff decided it would not <br />be cost effective to present a proposal at this time. A copy of <br />this letter dated August 23, 1994 is on file with the <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Helmbrecht to contract with the <br />Circle Pines/Lexington Police Department for a cost not to exceed <br />$160,424 contingent that this decision is within the scope of the <br />special meeting relating to the 1995 preliminary budget; <br />if it is determined the decision is not within the <br />scope of the meeting, the 1995 police service contract <br />is to be placed on the September 14, 1994 regular <br />meeting agenda, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Buckbee to direct City staff to <br />write thank you letters to the agencies who responded to <br />Centerville's request for proposals for 1995 police services, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee recessed the meeting at 7:00 p.m. The meeting <br />reconvened at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Tamara Miltz-Miller was present. Ms. Miltz-Miller presented the <br />1995 Proposed Preliminary Budget to the City Council. A copy of <br />the 1995 Proposed Preliminary Budget is attached to and made a <br />part of these minutes. <br /> <br />The City Council discussed <br />preliminary budget. <br /> <br />at length <br /> <br />the proposed 1995 <br /> <br />Motion by Brenner, second by Dario to direct City staff to <br />include the figure of the tax impact on Centerville businesses at <br />the next budget meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Steve Dixon, Michael Navin, Carol Pelton, Dale Larson and Rick <br />Thompson from the Centerville Park and Recreation Committee were <br />
