Council <br />member Brenner noted the re-negotiation clause allows for a <br />change in the bylaws to reduce the pension if there is a <br />hardship. Council member Brenner noted the additional pension <br />funds may help with recruiting of new fire fighters. Council <br />member Brenner noted the Steering Committee does recommend the <br />approval of the pension increase. <br /> <br />Theresa Berg, Circulating Pines, was present and made comment <br />regarding her understanding of the proposed pension increase. <br /> <br />Motion by Dario, second by Brenner to approve the recommendation <br />of the Centennial Fire District Steering Committee to increase <br />the pension to $2,000.00 per year of service with the re- <br />negotiation clause that the Cities of Centerville, Circle Pines <br />and Lino Lakes reserve the right to renegotiate the level of <br />pension benefits paid if the monies received from the State of <br />Minnesota drop below twenty five thousand ($25,000) dollars per <br />year; <br /> <br />this could result in the benefits <br />there is not sufficient funds in the <br />AYE - Brenner; AYE - Buckbee; AYE - Dario; <br />ABSTAIN - Wilharber, motion carried. <br /> <br />being reduced if <br />pension account; <br />AYE - Helmbrecht; <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber will contact Centennial Fire District <br />Chief Milo Bennett to discuss the pension increase. <br /> <br />Motion by Brenner, second by Dario that per the recommendation of <br />the Centennial Fire District Steering Committee to award the bid <br />to Toyne Fire Truck for two GMC pickups as specified converted to <br />fire districts use as specified, the total amount is $25,131.00 <br />per unit or $50,262.00 for two units, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Resolution DeclarinQ <br />Motion by Buckbee, <br />proclaiming November <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Eoileosy Month In Anoka County. <br />second by Helmbrecht to adopt a resolution <br />to be epilepsy month in Anoka County, motion <br /> <br />A copy of this resolution is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />AQreement to Allow Draintile on Hardwood Ponds Park from 7193 <br />West Robin Lane. <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Helmbrecht to approve the agreement <br />to allow draintile on Hardwood Ponds Park from 7193 West Robin <br />Lane with the inclusion that the installation of a sump pump is <br />not an option, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A copy of the agreement is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br />
