CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br />May 14, 2008 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Mary Capra <br />Council Member Linda Broussard-Vickers <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso <br />Council Member Jeff Paar <br />o O <br />D 0 <br />Council Member Tom Lee 0 <br />STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson <br />City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br />City Engineer Mark Statz <br />L CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Capra called the May 14, 2008, City Council Work Session to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Capra announced that, because there was already a Public Hearing, there will be <br />no input from the audience during this meeting. However, they can submit their <br />suggestions in writing. <br />II. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1. Resident Input from 2009 Street Project Public Hearing (5/1/08 <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that he prepared a couple options to give the Council looks at <br />different scales of the project. <br />Mayor Capra inquired whether there were any questions for the engineer. <br />Councilmember Parr asked whether the project was mostly for the water, as the Sumack <br />Court and Ivy Court area roads themselves are not in that bad of shape. <br />City Engineer Statz replied that those roads, as well as Center Street, would not need <br />reconstruction. <br />City Engineer Statz went on to discuss various options to find the least invasive one and <br />the one that would cause the least disruption to traffic. <br />Discussions ensued regarding collector street policies, ways to avoid disruptions, and <br />whether there would be maintenance within this system. <br />
