<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof~ the City of Centerville <br />City Council held a special meeting Wednesday, October 7, 1987. <br />Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: <br />Laska, Wilharber, Fritchie. Absent: Neumann. <br /> <br />Discussion of the fire department budget request. At September <br />23, 1987 regular meeting it was decided that Centerville would <br />agree to a 12.3% budget increase for the fire department based on <br />the proposed fire department budget number of $191,414.00. Since <br />that time fire chief has advised that the proposed 1988 budget is <br />actually $210,984.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Wilharber to agree to a 12.3% <br />($880.00) increase in the fire department budget based on a 1988 <br />dollar amount $210,984.00, motion carried unanimously_ <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska that the sanitary sewer <br />utilities account should be taking care of itself, thus <br />administrative costs for sanitary sewer will be taken out of the <br />sanitary sewer utility account, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to table discussion of no <br />parking, sidewalks, and speed zoning on Main Street, with regard <br />to the Centennial Elementary School, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to contact the Centennial <br />School District to cancel all agreements with regard to the <br />tennis courts, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor L;Allier stepped down as presiding officer, due to conflict <br />of interest. Acting Mayor Fritchie presided. <br /> <br />Discussion of letter of appeal of assessment from the Estate of <br />Ralph L'Allier, regarding 60 feet which abuts Mill Road from PID# <br />14-31-22-43-0016. This letter is on file with the .City Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to refer the LrAllier letter <br />of appeal to the City Attorney for an opinion. Clerk noted that <br />it is possible that she may not be able to reach the City <br />Attorney by October 9, 1987, which is the date that the <br />assessments are certified to the County. <br /> <br />Motion withdrawn by Wilharber, second withdrawn by Laska. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to direct City Clerk to <br />contact City Attorney and unless his opinion is not of the <br />Council, the City Council will deny the request for appeal by the <br />Estate of Ralph L'Allier for their 60 feet from PID# 14-31-22-43- <br />0016, which abuts Mill Road; aye: Fritchie, Wilharber; nay: <br />Laska; abstain: L'Allier; motion did not carry for lack of <br />rrlajority vote. <br /> <br />Further discussion of L'Allier request for appeal. <br />
