<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville <br />City Council held their meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 1987 at <br />City Hall. Mayor L~Allier called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. <br />M. Present: Fritchie, Laska, Robischon, Neumann. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the JLlne /0, 1987 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br />Mr. Neumann had no complaints but stated that he sat in on the <br />Fire Commission Meeting and will report progress of meetings to <br />City Council as more developes. <br /> <br />No other complaints <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Mr. William Hawkins, City Attorney, presented the sealed bids <br />which had been received for the purchase of the City's $615,000 <br />General Obligation Bonds of 1987, as advertised for sale. These <br />bids are recorded and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann to adopt a Resolution <br />awarding the sale of $615,000 General Obligation Improvement <br />Bonds of 1987 to the First Bank, St. Paul in the amount of <br />$605,000.00. Total Interest Cost $412,483.65. - Net Interest <br />Rate 7.206.05; fixing their form and specifications; directing <br />their execution and delivery; and providing for their payment; <br />aye: Fritchie, L'Allier, Neumann, Robischon; nay: Laska, motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on fill from Road Reconstruction. Engineer John <br />Stewart said it would be best to keep fill in a limited number of <br />sites but because city residents are now asking for some of the <br />fill Mr. Stewart asked City Attorney Hawkins if the residents <br />wanting the fill can negotiate with the Contractor Valley Paving, <br />thus leaving the City out of any obligation should damage occur <br />to residents property when the fill is obtained. Mr. Hawkins, <br />City Attorney said it is up to the contractor to make this <br />decision with the residents wanting fill so that the city is not <br />involved. Residents asking for fill should apply to City Hall <br />for a fill permit and Mr Hawkins could see no legal problems for <br />the city if handeled this way. <br /> <br />Larry Koch, 1626 Peltier Lake Dr. was present and asked for fill. <br />He said he would sign a waiver with contractor if he could have <br />some. He was told he would need a fill permit. <br /> <br />Dean Luxemberg, 1697 Peltier Lake Dr. was present and requested <br />fill. He was told he would need a fill permit. <br /> <br />John Stewart Engineer, requested direction from council for a <br />change of order because of a previous motion made in the June 10. <br />1987 City Council meeting minutes, to have all of the fill from <br />the road reconstruction given to Mr. Russ Almendinger, 1305 Mound <br />
