Pusuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, April 8, 1987 at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7:15 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, Laska, Neumann Motion by Robischon second by Neumann to accept the minutes of the March 25, 1987 meeting, motion carried unanimously. Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to accept the minutes of the April 2, 1987 Board of Review meeting, motion carried unanimously. PETITIONS & COMPLAINTS Councilmember Neumann asked for an update on the possibility of a street light on the intersection of County Road 14 and County Road 54. Clerk advised that progress is being made and will update the Council when NSP supplies more definate information. APPEARANCES: Jere Bartz of Abdo, Abdo, & Eick presented the 1986 Audit. He advised that the City is making progress in decreasing it's deficit & describes it as a clean audit overall. Marty Asleson, Parks Director of Circle Pines appeared before the Council to ask for their support in a joint compo sting project. Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann for the City of Centerville to send a letter to Margaret Langfield to show it's interest in a joint composting project with Lino Lakes & Circle Pines, motion carried unanimously. OLD BUSINESS: A petition was presented to the Council to request exclusion of the western end of Peltier Lake Drive from the current pending road reconstruction project. A survey was also presented to the Council signed by all property owners on Shad Avenue, that in their opinion Shad Ave. should also be excluded from the current road reconstruction project & fixed later when it gets worse. Both the petition & the survey are on file with the City Clerk. Mayor L'Allier advised that he appointed Joe Perkowski 7231 mill Road, Peter Buesseler, 7159 Shad Ave., and Pat Schweiger 1708 Center St. as representatives of their, peespective roads.. Mayor L'Allier asked Pat Schwieger to report on her findings. Ms. Schwieger related concern over the portion of Center St. not considered for reconstruction at this time. She felt that the concensus of the homeowners on her street was that the current conditions of Center St. is livable & would prefer to not have the proposed section of Center St. reconstructed if all of Center Street can not be included.
