City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />June 11, 2008 <br />Mayor Capra requested that a warm thank you go out to all volunteers. She stated that <br />Centerville stood out significantly. She added that Centex donated safety equipment, <br />Cindy Johnson of Lutheran Social Services asked what to bring, as did many others. <br />Mayor Capra stated that she is proud of how everyone came together. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to approve the Emer~ency Storm Presentation and the Emer~ency Presentation <br />Preparation fund -not to exceed $100. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Code Update <br />City Administrator Larson stated that, at the last Work Session, they were not able to get <br />to some of the chapters. Many of the chapters were covered at the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission meeting, where they resolved a lot of the issues. He added that they have <br />chapters up to 153 need to be looked at. He suggested that sometime in the next month <br />or two, the City Council schedule a Work Session to look at changes to Chapters 30-153. <br />City Administrator Larson stated that he would ask the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />to look at sign regulations at their next meeting. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers inquired whether the Council has received a book of <br />code revisions. <br />City Administrator Larson replied that he received some of the early chapters, through 93 <br />or so. He added that he would do it in the next week or so, so the City Council could <br />start looking at it. <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers suggested that they break up the chapters and assign <br />different sections to different Council Members to review. <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br />A motion was made by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member <br />Broussard-Vickers to adiourn the City Council Meeting.
