<br />1 (').. ..,' : f.'. <br />/_, " '\ <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held a special <br />meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 1976 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Present were <br />Burque, L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Several Lino Lakes residents living on LaMotte Drive were in <br />attendance complaining about the condition of their street. Council <br />consensus was to fill the chqck holes with crushed rock or similar <br />material and Mayor was to call County Highway Department and have <br />them do same. <br /> <br />Bruce Houle, our insurance agent from the First State Insurance <br />Agency, was in attendance and answered questions about the City's <br />insurance package. The insurance is due on March 9 for renewal. <br /> <br />Dennis Schreifels from St. Paul was in attendance asking <br />questions and wanting council views on his building a home off of <br />Mill Road in Centerville. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to approve the bylaws of the <br />Emergency Services, Centerville, Minnesota, Elmer Murray seconded <br />it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read thank you letters from Senator Milton and Rep. <br />Howard Neisen concerning our resolution regarding the proposed <br />stadium to be built by the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />Mayor read a resolution to be sent to the Metro Council <br />giving Council's views on the proposed Centerville interceptor <br />being included in the 1976 Waste Policy Plan budget. Elmer Murray <br />made a motion to adopt the Resolution #2-76, John Peterson seconded <br />it, motion carried. A copy of said Resolution is attached to these <br />minutes. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from George Durfee, Research Scientist, <br />Power Plant Siting Staff, State of Minnesota asking for nomin- <br />ations to a citizens committee to study power line routes in our <br />area. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from Governor Anderson's office advising <br />us a conference would be held on March 10 concerning natural dis- <br />asters in the State of Minnesota. The council felt a member of <br />the Emergency Services should attend meeting if possible and the <br />City would pick up the $8.50 charge. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from North Central Public Service advising <br />us they have received approval to construct facilities that will <br />allow them to add 450 new heating customers to their system. This <br />means that those persons who have made application to North Central <br />for natural gas service and have received a priority number 1 thru <br />450, issued by the company, will be contacted immediately so they <br />can proceed with plans to get connected. <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to accept the contract with School <br />District #12 ooncerning the ballfield for the 76 summer season <br />to be used by the Little League, John Peterson seconded it,;motion <br />carried. <br />
