1 (').. ..,' : f.'. /_, " '\ The City Council of the City of Centerville held a special meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 1976 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Present were Burque, L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Several Lino Lakes residents living on LaMotte Drive were in attendance complaining about the condition of their street. Council consensus was to fill the chqck holes with crushed rock or similar material and Mayor was to call County Highway Department and have them do same. Bruce Houle, our insurance agent from the First State Insurance Agency, was in attendance and answered questions about the City's insurance package. The insurance is due on March 9 for renewal. Dennis Schreifels from St. Paul was in attendance asking questions and wanting council views on his building a home off of Mill Road in Centerville. Leon L'Allier made a motion to approve the bylaws of the Emergency Services, Centerville, Minnesota, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. Mayor read thank you letters from Senator Milton and Rep. Howard Neisen concerning our resolution regarding the proposed stadium to be built by the State of Minnesota. Mayor read a resolution to be sent to the Metro Council giving Council's views on the proposed Centerville interceptor being included in the 1976 Waste Policy Plan budget. Elmer Murray made a motion to adopt the Resolution #2-76, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. A copy of said Resolution is attached to these minutes. Mayor read letter from George Durfee, Research Scientist, Power Plant Siting Staff, State of Minnesota asking for nomin- ations to a citizens committee to study power line routes in our area. Mayor read letter from Governor Anderson's office advising us a conference would be held on March 10 concerning natural dis- asters in the State of Minnesota. The council felt a member of the Emergency Services should attend meeting if possible and the City would pick up the $8.50 charge. Mayor read letter from North Central Public Service advising us they have received approval to construct facilities that will allow them to add 450 new heating customers to their system. This means that those persons who have made application to North Central for natural gas service and have received a priority number 1 thru 450, issued by the company, will be contacted immediately so they can proceed with plans to get connected. Fran Burque made a motion to accept the contract with School District #12 ooncerning the ballfield for the 76 summer season to be used by the Little League, John Peterson seconded it,;motion carried.
