PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: A number of Centerville residents, mainly women, were in attendance at meeting complaining about the hockey rink; the way it had been taken care of so far this season. They were made known first that it is a skating rink and also the money that was spent in 1975 on the upkeep of same. Leon L'Allier made a motion to have LERoy Houle clean the two rinks when the snow is in excess of 2" for $25 each time and not to exceed $200, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Mrs. Louis LeRoux appeared before council with request for a variance on a 125 x 150 foot lot which she is interested in transfering to a daughter. Leon L'Allier made a motion to give Mrs. LeRous a variance on city's ordinance #15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on lot described as follows: The easterly 125' of Lot 14, Auditor's Subdivision #46 revised, except that part thereof taken by the County of Anoka by condemnation, and subject to existing roadways, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. Mr. Mobley, our new Building Official, appeared before council with a resume of his past experience in the building field and pending certification from the state, he will be our building inspector/official. Elmer Murray made a motion to upgrade our building fee schedule to confirm with Lino Lakes fee schedule, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Public hearing was then held on the Horse Ordinance - amendment to Ordinance #10. Clerk read ordinance and discussion followed. John Peterson made a motion to adopt ordinance, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. CoPy of ordinance is attached to these minutes. Mel Dupre was in attendance and gave a report on the progress of the Anoka County Park committee. Richard Clark, 7059 Goiffon, Centerville was in attendance requesting council to give him a permit to sell firearms. Clerk read letter from Gary McCready, owner of 7059 Goiffon, giving his permission for Mr. Clark to conduct gun dealership at 7059 Goiffon. Elmer Murray made a motion to issue a special use permit to Mr. Clark to sell rifles, shotguns, pistols and handguns by mail order only, such permit to be under council control and if there are complaints from residents the permit can be revoked by council, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to raise mileage charge to 15i effective January 15, 1976, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried.
