<br />-I. t <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, November 10, 1976 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present: Burque, <br />L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings held <br />October 13 and 27, 1976, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Bruce Houle of the First State Insurance Agency was in attendance <br />and brought council up to date on our city's insurance package <br />which is due in March of 1977. <br /> <br />Clerk read letters from Mrs. Bohne and Mrs. Seashore requesting <br />a street light at the end of Peltier Lake Drive near their homes. <br />Fran Burque made a motion to order a 175 watt mercury vapor light <br />as per their request, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. William Karas of 7008 Centerville Road was in attendance <br />requesting a 10 foot easement or cartway between his home and <br />6994 Centerville Road be vacated. We advised Mr. Karas we would <br />ask attorney Hawkins about matter and report to him. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the Mound Trail agreement between Anoka <br />County and the City of Centerville. Mayor Prachar informed <br />citizens of Mound T~ail the agreement had not been signed as <br />yet and why. MayorAas informed them he would be meeting with <br />our attorney and Anoka County attorney in the near future in <br />hopes of getting the agreement formulated for signing. <br /> <br />Several senior citizens were in attendance requesting information <br />on the senior citizen deferment for the sewer assessment. Clerk <br />handed out the application form to all senior citizens and they <br />were requested to return i t to her before Wednesday, November. 17 <br />if they wished to apply for the deferment along with a financial <br />statement of their earnings. Meeting was set up for Wednesday, <br />November 17 at the City Hall to go over the applications. <br /> <br />There was short discussion on Bill LaLonde's request for a <br />change in his mother's front footage assessment. There was no <br />decision on same, frontage would stay the way it was recorded <br />on final assessment roll. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to sign the contract the City has <br />entered into with C. W. Houle Landscaping, hereinafter called <br />the Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project #76-1 Contractor at a <br />price of $676,613.15, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept the fire truck insurance <br />proposal for 1977 at a price of $1025. for the three fire trucks, <br />John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk read communications from Houston Engineering, Howard <br />Neisen and Anoka County Comprehensive Health Department. <br /> <br />The council acted as a canvassing board and looked over the <br />ballots from the election on November 2, 1976. <br />
