-I. t The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, November 10, 1976 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present: Burque, L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings held October 13 and 27, 1976, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. Bruce Houle of the First State Insurance Agency was in attendance and brought council up to date on our city's insurance package which is due in March of 1977. Clerk read letters from Mrs. Bohne and Mrs. Seashore requesting a street light at the end of Peltier Lake Drive near their homes. Fran Burque made a motion to order a 175 watt mercury vapor light as per their request, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Mr. William Karas of 7008 Centerville Road was in attendance requesting a 10 foot easement or cartway between his home and 6994 Centerville Road be vacated. We advised Mr. Karas we would ask attorney Hawkins about matter and report to him. Discussion was held on the Mound Trail agreement between Anoka County and the City of Centerville. Mayor Prachar informed citizens of Mound T~ail the agreement had not been signed as yet and why. MayorAas informed them he would be meeting with our attorney and Anoka County attorney in the near future in hopes of getting the agreement formulated for signing. Several senior citizens were in attendance requesting information on the senior citizen deferment for the sewer assessment. Clerk handed out the application form to all senior citizens and they were requested to return i t to her before Wednesday, November. 17 if they wished to apply for the deferment along with a financial statement of their earnings. Meeting was set up for Wednesday, November 17 at the City Hall to go over the applications. There was short discussion on Bill LaLonde's request for a change in his mother's front footage assessment. There was no decision on same, frontage would stay the way it was recorded on final assessment roll. Elmer Murray made a motion to sign the contract the City has entered into with C. W. Houle Landscaping, hereinafter called the Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project #76-1 Contractor at a price of $676,613.15, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept the fire truck insurance proposal for 1977 at a price of $1025. for the three fire trucks, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Clerk read communications from Houston Engineering, Howard Neisen and Anoka County Comprehensive Health Department. The council acted as a canvassing board and looked over the ballots from the election on November 2, 1976.
