<br />f; ~~". <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held a special <br />meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 1975 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />PRachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. All councilmen <br />present. <br /> <br />Mr. Carl Sooger, Community Education Director from District <br />#12 was in attendance at meeting with a request for funds from <br />the City of Centerville for administering the summer recreation <br />program. Matter was tabled until the budget meeting. <br /> <br />Jerry MUrray was in attendance and requested the council's <br />permission for the Boy Scouts to clean up the park area on <br />Cedar Street. This is a project for Jerry to do in accordance <br />with becoming an Eagle Scout. Leon L'Allier made a motion <br />that the City give permission to Jerry Murray and Troop 432 <br />to make improvements on the described property and for the <br />Scouts to use it as a camp site, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. Elmer Murray advised council that the Men's <br />Club from Our Savior Lutheran Church in Circle Pines would <br />like to cut up and dispose of the wood on the property. The <br />clerk was instructed to write a letter to the Men's Club giving <br />them permission to do this and inform them that the city <br />assumes no responsibility for liability or property damage <br />during the clean-up operation. <br /> <br />Budget meeting is set for Monday, October 6, at 7:00 pm. <br />All other meetings held by the Council will now begin at 7.00 pm. <br /> <br />The matter of ordering bicycle tickets for their issuance <br />was discussed. John Peterson made a motion that the City go <br />along with the proposal of a bicycle program for Centerville, <br />Elmer MUrray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />The attached.:.Resoilu tion. was read and approved by the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council that Rep. Neisen would be at our <br />October 22, 1975 meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from Lino Lakes concerning the proposed <br />bike trail. Matter tabled until October 8 meeting. <br /> <br />The clerk read the following bills to be paid: <br /> <br />Minnesota Fire, Inc. $189.00 <br />Rivard Electric Company 60.24 <br />Centerville Fire Department 100.00 <br />Hugo Feed Mill & Elevator 4).00 <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to pay these bills, John Peterson <br />seconded it, motion carried. These bills bring to completion <br />the Rural Development Fund application submitted by the Fire <br />Department for a grant of $1800 which fund would reimburse <br />the City with $900. Clerk will send necessary papers and <br />information to Mr. Garvey tomorrow. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to adjourn meeting, Elmer <br />Murray seconded it, motion carried.
