<br />82 <br /> <br />for legislation which would have an immediate effect on <br />our area as well as our suggestions on legislation of <br />a more general nature. which nevertheless would directly <br />affect our residents. <br /> <br />Mayor read a thank you note received from the <br />Fire Department thanking us for the prompt action <br />taken in repairing the door. door lock and driveway. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council of National Highway Week <br />September 21 - 27, 1975 with September 24 being designated <br />as HIghway Information Day with tours being conducted <br />from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the District Nine office in <br />North St. Paul. <br /> <br />Clerk read agreement between City and Messrs. <br />Skoog and Hendricks concerning the fence that is <br />situated on the city right of way. Clerk was to <br />mail agreement to them for their signatures. <br /> <br />Norm Fritchie read a sample letter he would like <br />the council to okay and send to Mr. Torkildson. Director <br />of Parks and Recreation for Anoka County, requesting <br />Anoka County to consider negotiating with the Centerville <br />Fire Department to furnish fire protection for the Anoka <br />County Park Reserve. Fran Burque made a motion to notify <br />the county of the Fire Department's intentions, Leon <br />L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Norm Fritchie brought up the idea of exploring a <br />long-term fire protection agreement with Lino Lakes. <br />A committee of Dan Tourville, Norm Fritchie and <br />Fran Burque, Sr., has been organized to study same. <br />Leon L'Allier requested being on the committee. Elmer <br />Murray made a motion to give the Fire Department committee <br />authorization to organize talks with Lino Lakes concerning <br />long term fire protection.
