<br />79 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held a special <br />meeting on Wednesday, August 2~, 1975 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Councilmen <br />presents Burque, L'A1lier, Murray and Peterson. <br /> <br />Mr. Lawrence, Business Manager for the Centennial School <br />District #12 was present to discuss a joint venture of the <br />school and the city for use of a ballfield in back of the <br />Centerville Elementary school for Little League in the summer. <br />Mr. Lawrence was to get the council a map of the area for our <br />further study and discuss project with school board and other <br />interested parties. <br /> <br />George Haberman had requested some work done in front <br />of his house on Mill Road where the road was washing away. <br />Clerk was to call North Central Service to indicate where the <br />gas line ran in front of house, call Wollin for some grading <br />and have some rock brought in. <br /> <br />Mayor Prachar contacted Mr. McLean of Lino Lakes on the <br />proposed bike trail system for the City of Lino which trail <br />would go through parts of Centerville. Bike trail system <br />was just in the nroposed stages and Lino had not gotten <br />permission from the county to use the border of the county <br />roads as part of the system. City would be kept informed <br />on progress of system. <br /> <br />Clerk had received letter from Anoka County Health <br />Department with information on the Minnesota Clean Indoor <br />Air Act which became effective August 1, 1975. Item 5 of <br />the Act states that wnere a public place consists of a single <br />room, one side of the room must be posted as a No Smoking Area. <br />Clerk was to get appropriate sign. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to approve Peterson's 2nd <br />Addition to Centerville, Fran Burque seconded it, motion <br />carried. Mayor and clerk sig~ed hard shell copy of same. <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to grant a variance to Ordinance <br />15, Section 6, paragraph 10 and granting permission to convey <br />by metes and bounds description the following property, <br /> <br />All that part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter <br />of Section 23, Township 31, Range 22, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />described as folloWSI Beginning at the Sbutheast corner of LOT <br />6, BLOCK I, Peterson's Addition to Centerville, according to the <br />map or plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the <br />Anoka County Register of Deeds; thence South along the Southerly <br />extension of the East line of said LOT 6 to its intersection with <br />the centerline of Clearwater Creek; thence West along said <br />centerline of Clearwater Creek to its intersection with the <br />extension Southerly of the West line of Lot 7, Block I, Peterson's <br />Addition to Centerville; thence North along the Southerly <br />extension of said West line to the Southwest corner of said Lot <br />7; thence East along the South line of said Lots 7 and 6, Block <br />I, Peterson's Addition to Centerville to the point of beginning, <br />Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. John Peterson abstained <br />from voting. <br />
