<br />r"7 F~ <br />, l' <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, August 13, 1975 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present weres <br />L'Allier, Burque, Peterson. Absents Murray. <br /> <br />The minutes of meetings held July 9 and 23 were approved <br />as recorded. <br /> <br />Ms. Meyer of the Minneapolis Area Chapter of the American <br />Red Cross appeared before the council requesting local participa- <br />tion in the Red Cross. She _as asked to work with the Civil <br />Defense Director in Centerville to meet the needs of the residents. <br /> <br />Norm Fritchie appeared before council with 1976 budget <br />request from the Fire Department. Clerk was to make copies of <br />request and will mail with these minutes for councilmen to look <br />over before budget meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor was to call County to see if roads in Centerville <br />could be graded. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter received from Governor <br />Anderson thanking us for support of his proposal to return <br />gross earing revenue to local governments. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter from Metropolitan Tran$it <br />Commission regarding employer vans and car pools in the metro <br />area. <br /> <br />Orville Hughes appeared before council with request to <br />get a building permit for adding 2 feet to front of house. He <br />was advised to bring a letter to the clerk from his adjoining <br />neighbors giving him permission to do this. Fran Burque made <br />a motion that if Orville gets written consent from his adjoining <br />property owners to add a 2 foot addition to the front of his <br />house, he would be issued a building permit for same" John <br />Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter and referred to map from <br />Lino Lakes regarding a proposed bike trail system for the City <br />of Lino Lakes. The proposed trail would go through portions of <br />Centerville and they asked for our opinion on this. Mayor was <br />to get more information from Mr. McLean and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk had received 2nd half of payment from Lino for the <br />Fire Department contract. Leon made a motion to deposit amount <br />in the Fire Department Equipment Fund, John Peterson seconded <br />it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk read the fallowing bills for payment, <br /> <br />B & E Patrol <br />Babcock.
