<br />G' <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 1975 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were Burque, <br />L'Allier, Peterson and Murray. Clerk read minutes of meetings held <br />February 12 and 26. Fran Burque made a motion to accept minutes as <br />read, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson, Hentges and their attorney appeared before <br />council with questions on proposed property acquirement of 10 acres <br />on Mill Road. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier reported on meeting he attended concerning the <br />Centennial Little League. Two sponsors were needed from Centerville <br />plus coaches, cost per team of $40.00, one team of 8 and 9 year olds, <br />and another of 10, 11, and 12 year olds. Registration is April 3, <br />7:30 pm at Centennial Jr. High. Cost is $5.00 for first child, $3.00 <br />second child and additional children from family free. <br /> <br />Clerk was to send 1975 lease agreement to Chauncey Barett for <br />City of Centerville's lease of community playground. <br /> <br />Mayor reported on Job emergency fund money - he had had conver- <br />sation with personnel from Anoka office asking questions about <br />disbursement of money and had not received an answer to telephone <br />conversation. Hope to report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Police Chief Myhre brought in February Lino and Centerville <br />police reports. Chief also gave Mayor copy of portion of Burnsville <br />liquor ordinance which he thought Centerville should include in their <br />Ordinance #12. Clerk was to send it to Hawkins for opinion. Mayor <br />unable to attend Police Advisory meeting on April 3, Fran Burque <br />would go in Mayor's place. <br /> <br />Received telephone call from Mr. Strehlow on dutch elm disease <br />problem and problem resolved. <br /> <br />Clerk had written to Mr. Sandstrom of PCA asking for permit <br />to burn diseased elm trees on site but as yet no response to letter. <br /> <br />Application for flood insurance for City of Centerville residents <br />has been accepted and information on same and where to purchase <br />insurance has been given to the St. Paul Dispatch and Pioneer PRess, <br />Circulating Pines and Blaine Life fop publication. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to purchase a 30 x 72" table from <br />Fridley OFfice Supply for %50.50, Leon seconded it, motion carried. <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to purchase a postal scale for $3.25 <br />from Fridley Office Supply, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Wednesday, May 7, 8:00 pm in the City Hall is Board of Review nite. <br /> <br />L~on L'Allier made a motion to purchase a book of Fire Protection <br />and Prevention Laws for about $10.00, John Peterson seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />New front door and lock for hall was discussed. Also pouring <br />a concrete apron in front of each fire door with drain to storm <br />sewer. Mayor was to check with Jim Stevens for opinion and price <br />and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor reported on envelopes City could purchase at Hugo Post <br />
