<br />( <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held a regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, September 28, 1977 in the City Hall. <br />Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present <br />were: Burque, Peterson and Murray. Absent: L'Allier. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meeting held <br />September 14 and 19, 1977, John Peterson seconded it, motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS. Mrs. Florence Seashore of 1693 <br />Peltier Lake Drive was in attendance complaining about the <br />condition of the road in front of her house. Clerk was to <br />check with Nick about problem. Discussion was held on grading <br />the streets in Centerville by the County or Mr. Houle, and <br />bringing in 2 or 3 loads of rock on LaMotte Road. <br /> <br />The engineer, Walt Williams, was in attendance with 2 bids <br />on the tennis courts, N. D. H., Inc and T. A. Schifsky. <br />N.D.H. was the lowest bidder amounting to $14,100. Discussion <br />was held on the bids and engineer was to ask NDH to remove <br />the fence bid and ask Century Fence to bid on the fence alone. <br />John Peterson made a motion to accept NDH, Inc., bid on tennis <br />court construction contingent on bid of fencing from Century <br />Fence, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk had received letter from John McClellan of School <br />District #12 concerning stipulations to be included in the <br />lease agreement between the school District and City. Clerk <br />was to give letter to Bill Hawkins for preparation of lease <br />agreement and present at the October 12 meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council prints had been submitted to Mr. Ruud <br />of the Highway Department on the proposed warming house and <br />Mr. Ruud was to contact City after the project is presented <br />to the Highway Committee. Walt Williams presented bids .on <br />three different types of roof systems for the warming house: <br />Gable $971.06; Flat $917.86; Flexicore $2)40. <br /> <br />Discussion on retaining wall around lift station. One bid <br />had been submitted by Henry Spores and Walt Williams was <br />instructed to draw up print for Mr. Spores to see before final <br />bid is made. <br /> <br />The 1977 Payable 1978 General Property Tax levy for the City <br />of Centerville was submitted: <br /> <br />BONDED INDEBTEDNESS: General Obligations $7,440. <br />NON-BONDED INDEBTEDNESS LEVIES: <br />General Revenue Levy ),259.20 <br />Road and Bridge Levy 1,600.00 <br />Firemen;s Relief Levy 200.00 <br />Civil Defense 100.00 <br />Parks 600.00 <br />Recreation 250.00 <br />Utilities 1,000.00 <br />Shade Tree Control 1,500.00 <br />Public Safety 6,000.00 <br />Fire Protection ),000.00 <br /> <br />~.. <br />
