<br />~/- <br /> <br />page two <br />City Council meeting <br />minutes - December 14, 1977 <br /> <br />hour, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Clerk will put <br />up help wanted signs in the restaurant and garage requesting <br />applicants to come to the City Hall on Saturday, December 17 <br />for interview. <br /> <br />The animal patrol contract for 1978 was discussed. Two contracts <br />had been received by the clerk; one from M.A.P.S.I. and Blaine <br />Midway All Pets, Inc. John Peterson made a motion to contract <br />with Blaine Midway All Pets, Inc., for 1978, Elmer Murray <br />seconded it, motion carried. The matter of an impounding. fee <br />was discussed. John Peterson made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />#12-77 dealing with the impounding fee, Fran Burque seconded <br />it, motion carried. Copy of Resolution #12-77 is attached to <br />these minutes. The matter of an amendment to Ordinance #24, <br />AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS FOR CONFINEMENT, LICENSING <br />AND CARE OF DOGS dealing with the impounding fee was discussed. <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to adopt amendment to SECTION VII. <br />A. IMPOUNDING John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Copy <br />of amendment to Ordinance #24 is attached to these minutes. <br /> <br />Robert LaMotte appeared before council with request for variance <br />on a piece of property. Mr. LaMotte had on December 6 requested <br />the Planning and Zoning Board to look at survey of his property <br />on Heritage Street which consists of three lots, centered by his <br />house. Mel Dupre recommended that a variance be granted on <br />OrdinanceAJ15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the following piece <br />of property: PLAT 27853, PARCEL 2545-Part of Lot 15, Auditor's <br />Subdivision No. 48 Revised described as follows: That part of <br />Lot 15, Auditor's Subdivision No. 48 commencing at a point where <br />Northerly line of Lot 15 intersects westerly line of right of way <br />of Anoka County State Aid Road No.4; thence westerly 6 yards <br />along northerly line of said Lot 15 a distance of 350 feet; <br />thence southerly and at right angles to said northerly line of <br />said Lot 15 a distance of 125 feet; thence easterly and parallel <br />to northerly line of Lot 15 a distance of 350 feet; more or less <br />to westerly line of Anoka County right of way of State Aid Road <br />No.4; thence northerly along westerly line of said right of way <br />a distance of 125 feet to point of commencement. - except west <br />8 feet of above description and part of Lot 15 Auditor's Sub- <br />division No. 48 revised described as follows: that part of Lot <br />15 Auditor's Subdivision No. 48 described as follows: commencing <br />at NE corner of said Lot 15; thence southerly along east line <br />of said Lot 15 225 feet; thence west at right angles 200 feet <br />to point of the land to be conveyed; thence North at right angles <br />130 feet to a point; thence east at right angles 142 feet to a <br />point; thence south at right angles 1)0 feet to the point of <br />beginning. Variance will be granted because the property is not <br />a large enough piece practical to plat and no opportunity to <br />expand. Tom Wilharber seconded the recommendation, motion carried. <br />John Peterson made a motion to grant the variance for the property <br />described above, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br />
