<br />r <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held a meeting on <br />Wednesday, January 26, 1977 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: Burque, <br />L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. <br /> <br />Blmer Murray made a motion to approve minutes of meeting held <br />January 12, 1977, John Peterson second'ed it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Baber appeared before council with reference to the <br />Centerville sewer. Mr. Baber stated that he was not satisfied <br />with the easement settlement offered to him by the attorney and <br />he presented a statement of what he thought the damages should <br />include. Mr. Baber did not leave a copy of the statement with <br />the clerk. After discussion of various items that were included <br />in the statement, the council felt that the latest offer tendered <br />by the attorney for $525. was reasonable and in line with other <br />settlements made in the city, there being approximately $1500. <br />difference in Mr. .Baber's assessment of damages and the city's <br />offer. The council felt that the disparity was too great to <br />negotiate and will proceed with condemnation proceedings ini~iated <br />at January 12th meeting. Mr. Baber stated that he would consider <br />the offer and respond to the council if he changes his mind. <br /> <br />OFFICIAL DESIGNATIONS: <br /> <br />Official Depository: First National Bank of St. Paul. <br />Elmer Murray made motion, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Park Committee Representative: Melvin Dupre <br />Leon L'Allier made motion, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on meeting to be on Thursday, January 27 at <br />7:00 pm in the City Hall to discuss proposed alignment of Center- <br />ville Forcemain with representatives from the Metro Waste Control <br />Commission. <br /> <br />The following easement settlement was presented for approval: <br /> <br />Kevin Danielson - Parcel 2 - $195. <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to approve payment on the above <br />easement, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on meeting to be set up for Monday, February <br />14 in the evening at the City Hall on the final plans for the <br />Chain of Lakes Park. Meeting would include Park Re~resentative <br />Mel Dupre, Chairman of P & Z, Council and Dave Torkildson. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council of hearing to be held on Tuesday, February <br />15, 1977 at 1:)0 pm in the Mounds View Council Chambers on the <br />Matter of amending the prescribed overall plan of the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council that Centerville is in receipt of permit <br />application from the St. Paul Water Department to install aeration <br />equipment on Centerville Lake to raise dissolved oxygen levels <br />to reduce and/or eliminate fish kill due to lack of dissolved <br />oxygen. <br />
