<br />( <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, November 9, 1977 in the City Hall. Present <br />were: Burque, L'Allier and Peterson. Absent: Murray. Minutes <br />of meeting held October 26, 1977 were approved as read. <br /> <br />Joe LaCasse, Jr., appeared before council with questions on <br />building permits for commercial property and discussion was held <br />on amount of black dirt he has removed from his property on 20th <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Ed LaBossiere appeared before council with complaint about his <br />driveway due to sewer construction. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council clerk will be sending out a letter to all <br />residents in the sewered area advising them of the hours the City <br />Hall will be open and that residents can come to the hall to <br />be issued a hook-up permit for their sewer installation. Estimated <br />date for the sewer to be operational is December 15, 1977. <br /> <br />Harvey Cartier appeared before council requesting his hourly <br />rate of pay for maintenance man be raised to $4.50 an hour. <br />John Peterson made a motion to raise Harvey Cartier's salary <br />from $3.00 an hour to $4.50 an hour effective immediately, <br />Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Arthur Raudio of R & 0 Sales appeared before council requesting <br />a 30-day extension on the presentation of final plat of Center <br />Oaks project. Leon L'Allier made amotion to grant request of <br />30-day extension, Fran seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Effective November 23, the City Council meetings will begin at <br />7:00 pm. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council of primary election to be held on Saturday <br />November 19, in the City Hall from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. General <br />election will be held Saturday, December 3, 1977, same hours. <br />Election is for the seat held by Sen. John Milton, who resigned <br />the 1st of November. <br /> <br />The remainder of work to be done due to sewer construction by <br />C. W. Houle was discussed. Engineer estimated the work to be <br />done would amount to $45,800. John Peterson made a motion to <br />pay C. W. Houle $30,000. of that amount, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to pay Integrity Mutual $975. for the <br />City vehicle insurance for one year, ,Leon L'Allier seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council that letter has been received from North <br />Central Public Service advising an increase in the natural gas <br />rates for our area effective November 28, 1977 in the amount of <br />approximately $33. annually for a residential gas heating customer. <br />
