Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday , September 13, 1978 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm, Present were: Burque , L'Allier, Laska and Murray . ' Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings held August 23, 24 and September 11, 1978, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Elmer Murray made a motion to grant a 3.2 Beer permit ,to the Centerville Lions Club for their softball tournament on September 16 and 17, 1978 at the Twin Lakes Ballfield, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. Marc Rivard reported on the Park & Rec committee meeting in connection with the rebuilding of the skating rink. He handed out the minutes of the meeting which describes the recommendations from the Park & Rec on the material needed and the cost. Fran Burque made a motion to accept their findings as reported and the city share of the cost of rebuilding the rink would not exceed $3,000,00, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Several persons from Centennial before council in regard to the matter of a contribution to the next budget meeting of the city, School District X12 appeared Summer Recreation Program. The program will be discussed at the Tom Tourville of Tom Tourville Contracting appeared before council with a bill representing time he has spent on two jobs he has done in Centerville with erroneous information from the as -built sheet. He requested the city to take care of the bill which amounts to $472,00, Matter was turned over to the attorney, Application was received by clerk for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company to place buried cable for telephone lines on Center Street and Tourville Circle in the Center Oaks Development. Permission granted by the council, clerk will advise. Clerk read two communications from Carley &Associates concerning the drain field problem by the Twin Lakes Pavillion and sewer hookups in Center Oaks #l. Feasibility study on Improvement 78-2, Sanitary sewer and street improvement was discussed. Clerk was to advise owners of Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block and Lots 1 and 2, Block 2 in Center- ville of study done and cost involved. Final estimate on work done by C. W. Houle Landscaping was discussed. Consensus was to pay Mr. Houle $6,656.78 of the final estimate leaving a balance of $5,000. to be paid later. Leon L'Allier made a motion to pay bills from checks #3526-3577 Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to adjourn meeting, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried.
