ie City Council of the City of Centerville held a special Dieting on Monday, June 5, 1978 at 8:00 pm in the City Hall. iyor Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm, Present Dre Leon L' Allier , Elmer Murray and Fran Burque. arpo se of meeting was to fill the vacancy on the City Council reated by the resignation of John Peterson, effective May 1978. Lmer Murray seconded i t , roll was taken: Burque, aye; array, aye; L' Allier , nay; Prachar, , aye, motion carried, Mr. Richard DeWitt was in attendance with request for variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the following described property: "That part of Lot 8, Auditor's Subdivision Noe 47 revised, that lies easterly of Tract D, Registered Land Survey No. 119 files of the Registrar of Titles, Anoka County, Minnesota; and that lies westerly of a line parallel with and distant 100 feet easterly of said Tract D; and that lies southerly of Tract C, Registered Land Survey No. 5, files of the Registrar of Titles, Anoka County, Minnesota; and that lies northerly of a line parallel with and distant 150 feet southerly of said Tract C.." Fran Burque made a motion to grant variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the above described property, motion died for lack of second. Lengthy discussion followed and Fran Burque made a motion to grant variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the above described property, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. The variance is granted because it's the remaining lot fronting on existing Peltier Lake Drive created by virtue of sewer service assigned to the lot. Building Inspector is to be appraised of the drainage problem that exists and see that it is rectified. Mr. Larry Brokke appeared before council with contract for Tree Inspector for Centerville. Clerk read the contract which is with Outdoor Research and Development and runs for the period June 1, 1978 - , September 159 1978. Contract was revised from $1300 to $1100. Leon L'Allier made a motion to enter into contract with Outdoor Research and Development for the period stated at the cost of $1100 . , Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried.
