<br />7 <br /> <br />The City Council of Centervi11e held their regular <br /> <br />meeting Tftlednesday, September II, 1974 in the City Hall.' <br /> <br />Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7100 pm. <br /> <br />Councilmen present were Elmer Murray, Leon L'Allier, <br /> <br />John Peterson, Clerk Lu Marcello and Attorney William <br /> <br />Ha,wkins. Absent: Fran Burque. <br /> <br />Clerk read minutes of meetings held August 14 and September <br /> <br />3. There being no additions or corrections, the minutes <br /> <br />stand approved as read. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Clerk was to contact Lew Hendricks, Tree Inspector, to <br /> <br />look at trees on Mill Road which have dutch elm disease. <br /> <br />Question was brought up on location of trees and who was <br /> <br />responsible for taking care of problem. <br /> <br />Two loads of dirt have been dumped in skating rink and <br /> <br />hopefully taken care of Dorscher's water problem in their <br /> <br />house. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on police service from Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />Mr. Jaworski and Chief Myhre were in attendance and con- <br /> <br />tributed to discussion. Budget for 1975 was set at <br /> <br />$68,000, Centerville portion would be based on 624 <br /> <br />population, $14.17 per capita making a total of $8,842.08. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to pass the following resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />This resolution calls for the City of Centerville to hold a <br />special election on Monday, September 30th, 1974, between <br />the hours of 1:00 and 8:00 pm in the City Hall for the <br />purPQ~~ of authorizing an additional levy each year up to a <br />trlaxim6:ril of $6000 over the property tax levy limitation. This <br />increase is needed to pay for full time police service from <br />the City of Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Leon L-Allier <br /> <br />made a motion to hold an informational meeting on the special <br /> <br />election to be held Tuesday, September 24, 1974, at 8:00 pm <br /> <br />in the Centerville Elementary School, John Peterson seconded <br /> <br />it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Prachar read letter from North Central Public Service <br /> <br />advising us of a raise in the gas rate by approximately $8.45 <br /> <br />per residential billing, effective September 10, 1974. Matter <br /> <br />of our approval was tabled until next meeting. <br />
