<br />1:3 <br /> <br />The City Council of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting Wednesday, October 9, 1974 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />PRachar called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Councilmen <br />present were Murray, L'Allier, Peterson, Burque and Attorney <br />,qilliam Ha~^,kins. <br /> <br />Clerk read minutes of meetings held September 11 and <br />October 2, 1974. No being no corrections or additions, the <br />minutes stand approved as read. <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to rehire JOe LaCasse <br />Assessor for Centerville, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion <br />carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to pay Mr. LaCasse <br />$400 a year (1975) if he passes his state certification, <br />Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Henry Amundsen, Building Inspector, had inspected <br />the Welsch property kno'~m as 6709 Centerterville Road and <br />made recommennation that it be torn dOVln. Clerk ''''as to <br />write letter to Mr. V/elsch advi~ing him of the situation <br />and the alternatives to the problem. <br /> <br />Fran Burque was to a~k MEl Peterson to repair street <br />in front of church. <br /> <br />No action taken on Parent-Schilling situation. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes patrolman broqght in Centerville and Lino <br />police reports for September. <br /> <br />No action taken on lette r from North Central Public <br />Service advising us of a gas rate increa8e until next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from HUD on flood insurance advising <br />us of a consultant to be in contact with us to discuss the <br />flood problems in the community. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter that Fire Chief Fritchie would like <br />council to send to Mr. Burman of Anoka County endorsing <br />the VHF radio warning system. Approximate cost of <br />installation for Genterville would be $150. Elmer Murray <br />made a mo tion that we go along '~li th Norm' s recommendation <br />on system, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter from NSP requesting <br />a 12% increase in street lighting in Centerville with <br />the Minnesota PUBLIC Service Commission. <br /> <br />Clerk had. received Revenue Sharing check in the amount <br />of ~574. Leon L'Allier made a motion to deposit check in <br />the First State Bank of Hu~o in the form of a 10-month <br />savings certificate at 6t%--interest. Fran Burque seconded <br />it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from City of Roseville concernin~ <br />Rice Creek Watershed Policy Plan asking for moral support for <br />their position. <br />Clerk was to write letter to Lino council asking to <br />meet with them to discuss drawing up the police contract <br />and numerous items to be included in same. <br /> <br />Mrs. Elshaug from Robert's Restaurant appeared before <br />council with a request for an application for 3.2 beer on <br />sale license for 1~75. <br />
