1:3 The City Council of Centerville held their regular meeting Wednesday, October 9, 1974 in the City Hall. Mayor PRachar called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Councilmen present were Murray, L'Allier, Peterson, Burque and Attorney ,qilliam Ha~^,kins. Clerk read minutes of meetings held September 11 and October 2, 1974. No being no corrections or additions, the minutes stand approved as read. Fran Burque made a motion to rehire JOe LaCasse Assessor for Centerville, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to pay Mr. LaCasse $400 a year (1975) if he passes his state certification, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. PETIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Henry Amundsen, Building Inspector, had inspected the Welsch property kno'~m as 6709 Centerterville Road and made recommennation that it be torn dOVln. Clerk ''''as to write letter to Mr. V/elsch advi~ing him of the situation and the alternatives to the problem. Fran Burque was to a~k MEl Peterson to repair street in front of church. No action taken on Parent-Schilling situation. Lino Lakes patrolman broqght in Centerville and Lino police reports for September. No action taken on lette r from North Central Public Service advising us of a gas rate increa8e until next meeting. Mayor read letter from HUD on flood insurance advising us of a consultant to be in contact with us to discuss the flood problems in the community. Mayor read letter that Fire Chief Fritchie would like council to send to Mr. Burman of Anoka County endorsing the VHF radio warning system. Approximate cost of installation for Genterville would be $150. Elmer Murray made a mo tion that we go along '~li th Norm' s recommendation on system, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Mayor read portions of letter from NSP requesting a 12% increase in street lighting in Centerville with the Minnesota PUBLIC Service Commission. Clerk had. received Revenue Sharing check in the amount of ~574. Leon L'Allier made a motion to deposit check in the First State Bank of Hu~o in the form of a 10-month savings certificate at 6t%--interest. Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Mayor read letter from City of Roseville concernin~ Rice Creek Watershed Policy Plan asking for moral support for their position. Clerk was to write letter to Lino council asking to meet with them to discuss drawing up the police contract and numerous items to be included in same. Mrs. Elshaug from Robert's Restaurant appeared before council with a request for an application for 3.2 beer on sale license for 1~75.
