ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1. Proposed 2009 Street Project <br />a. Bonestroo's Option 1 & 2 <br />Mayor Capra inquired about how the assessments were calculated. <br />City Administrator Larson replied that he had City Clerk Bender go through the map and pick up <br />measurements for each lot to come up with their rate. When there was a corner lot, each side <br />was measured. If there were different kinds of improvements for each side, the different kinds of <br />improvements were each figured in. Also, 25% of the long side of the unit was figured in. For <br />the water main, the cost is $6,200 per unit. Some lots were large enough to be split into two <br />units. On the south side of the marsh area, they had to use 3-4 units for the parcel at that <br />location. <br />City Administrator Larson added that, for the water main they used one unit per lot, for the street <br />they used a rate per foot, and the sidewalks and trails were rolled in as an appurtenance to the <br />street project. <br />Mayor Capra inquired about what was in the Grant as opposed to what was in the Street Project <br />and whether we have the Grant here. <br />City Administrator Larson replied that he did not think the grant was considered when making <br />the project estimates.
